Theresa May - Dead woman walking?

Just to keep you up to date, as PC moves on so quickly these days

You can’t call a black person coloured but you can call them a person of colour.
Because that includes everyone who is not white. In one vast big mega group who struggle against white oppression.

Be warned though people I consider friends prefer the term black. As they don’t want to be lumped in one big group.
Likewise another friend prefers Sikh or Asian rather than person of colour

I seem to remember having this same conversation with you some time ago. Your account is probably valid for the UK not the US. I seem to remember telling you that I ran it past a black,American teaching assistant at the LFB (via my wife). He said he had no problem with the term. That it wasn't disrespectful just old-fashioned.

Bare with me, it was a while ago. Found reference to it in the Immigration thread so getting closer. I trust there will be an apolegy forthcoming when I find and point everyone in the right direction to what a fraud you really are.

It was over 5 years ago.I'd be quite happy to apologise if you can find proof that I used the term "coloureds" but I didn't.I inadvertently used the word "coloured" trying to be inclusive ie to describe black West Indians and Asians etc ,because I was unaware that the term BAME community existed, at the time.Doubt if you'll find the thread, I looked earlier, but I certainly hope you do.

Tick, tock, the clock is ticking (just like in the Brexit negotiations). You accused me of something, which you haven't been able to substantiate.Where's my apology?

Don't want to get into a debate about the merits of the DVLA as tbh I don't give a damn, just want to point out George hadn't broken the law, that's all I have to say.

Fair play, if you don’t know what you’re on about probably best not to give a damn. Just want to point out that the police stopped him because he was sitting in a car showing no insurance - which is their right and what they should be doing.

I don't drive so DVLA don't effect me. I'm happy enough to reiterate for the forth time that George committed no crime though.
If you are vouching for DVLA and they are unlikely to have incorrect information then that may lead to some people thinking on a conspiratorial level about the police pretending to have duff information and in fact targeting someone due to race and colour.

He committed no crime but the DVLA had wrong information is the more straightforward option in this case.

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. The DVLA aren’t instantly aware each time someone purchases car insurance online - let alone if they do it by post - but their records are accurate if just with a minor administrative delay, which is entirely reasonable. Many people have had similar inconveniences (such as putting a sign in your windscreen to say your parking permit is in the post or ‘the cheque’s in the post your honour ). The police would speak to drivers of cars without insurance, tax or dodgy tail lights. I got spoken to once when I was younger for not wearing a seatbelt. That is normal and correct. In George’s case no chips needed to be applied to the shoulder, all he needed to do was explain that he had just purchased the insurance and either provide evidence there and then (the beauty of access to email on your phone these days) or pop into any police station within 24 hours with details. Many people have needed to do something similar without needing to claim victimisation.

Any embarrassment will be on your part. Ever heard of "netiquette? " You're supposed to reply within 24 hours.

Meanwhile here's a film clip you might enjoy.

Yeah, quite a few threads to trawel through ( don't want to make assumptions without proof do we) but then you know all about that. Patience my closet racisist, all will be revealled in time.
