Nothing major but activity in and around the West Stand Bar this afternoom. Two vans, 1 3.5ton flatbed and a white Transit. Neither had company logos etc on them and unfortunately i missed what was on the back of the flatbed. But something is clearly being upgraded, replaced, enhanced... New fridges etc., perhaps for Leigh Brewery?

I thought the Leigh Brewery trial was in the refurbished executive box only.

With clearly reduced capacity in the South, West and North stands this will need to be looked at before any work on the East Stand.

Wasn’t it announced a while ago that ground improvements would start straight away, even before the takeover, so I guess that’s happening as we speak? I’m expecting a huge beer tent out the back of the West on Sat!

I did hear the family stand bar will be open again on Saturday, sounds like other works are going on aswell.

I only said the West Stand Bar as an assumption 'cos I could see lights on in there. The work might have been going on in the Family Srand Bar.

One late bill was paid now the next late bill is still due.

I think a chunk has been paid by somebody who shouldn't really yet have to do so. Not anywhere near all of it, but perhaps enough to stave off another WUP for now.

The HMRC debt which was the subject of the most recent petition was paid in full. However, the club hadn't been keeping up with tax obligations in the period between that petition being issued in April (?) and dismissed in October (?), so more debt has accumulated and the NL knows it. As I said above, enough has been done to stave off another WUP, but the full balance (rightly) won't be paid until the new owners have the keys to the building.

Same thing happened before. WUP slapped on last October for HMRC debt of £1.4m. Debt discharged and WUP dismissed in March, but club was already in arrears again having not kept up with tax obligations since that WUP was issued in October. The NL knew it, and so didn't lift the embargo despite that WUP being dismissed.

Round and round we go.

I'd have thought that hot water in the West Stand loo's would have been a priority long before now?. Possibly because the H & S brigade didn't know about it, nothing was done?.

I guess everything is being done by the new owners .ie The new area above the south stand .And what ever is going on in the west stand .Has anything remotely to do with Ron shelling out money we all know one he does not have .And two could not care a jot about the ground .Because if he did he would never have let it fall into disrepair .

Makes you wonder if someone else paid the arrears, and payments still haven’t been kept up to date for current liabilities where all the money has gone from late season ticket sales and all the home matches in the last 3 months.
