Wasn’t it announced a while ago that ground improvements would start straight away, even before the takeover, so I guess that’s happening as we speak? I’m expecting a huge beer tent out the back of the West on Sat!
That would be class, and something I've been suggesting for years. Beer tent or a couple of staff members walking round with a beer back pack on pouring beers. A lot easier than queuing up like mugs waiting for the bar to open dead on half time, then getting turned away because it's too busy. It's been madness for years.

Showered? In those days? One was lucky to get one bath a week on a Sunday evening.
Luxury!

:Off Topic: I know. Used to get mine from Leo's, they fitted first time.
Leo was married to my sister Jan @Gt Yarmouth Shrimper . Totally off topic i know, but when i was a young teenager i worked for him first at RH market, Wickford etc , I left to do other things and my sister took my job. Leo used to buy most from Falmers who were at Rayleigh Weir at the time. The rest is history about Leo's and the shops but they did very well from all of them. My sister still has a huge farm in Devon paid for by the glory days of that era. Leo is long gone, committed suicide many years ago,
