Not the way to look at it. First it was Stockport (and Grimsby), then last season Wrexham and Notts County, and now it is Chesterfield. We can’t take the attitude of “let’s get rid of these sides because then we will get a good run at it next season.”No, because next year it will be someone like Oldham or Hartlepool or even Tranmere.
We have got to believe we are good enough to go up THIS season, and realistically the play-offs are very reachable. Still 81 points to play for. Think positive!

I agree with most of what you say. However, our ability to make the play offs depends very much on the Transfer Embargo being lifted. We have a run of pretty difficult matches between now and the end of the year. Starting with Chesterfield, then Gateshead, Bromley and Barnet twice. Unless Kevin is able to strengthen soon, then the Play Offs are going to be difficult to reach.

However, if we can find a couple of wins in this period and be within 10 to 12 points of the Play Offs by the start of January, then we at least will have a chance. Our best eleven is good enough, but we have little or no cover in key positions.

Whatever happens we are in for exciting times, we might just have to be patient in the short term.

The way things are going ( albeit positively from what we hear ) i'd be surprised if the embargo is lifted before the end of the year. By the time we've made some signings & they've bedded in, imo the 2nd half of this season will be building a team/squad for a serious promotion push next season.

Hopefully not the case but this is possible, yeah. My current thinking is that the back third of November is the most likely at the moment, or at least the aim. As ever, that is subject to change according to the actions of Mr. Martin. Hopefully we'll get something in the way of an update soon.

Probably all of the above. He is indecisive, impulsive, untrustworthy and has a scattergun approach to near enough everything. "Treat with kid gloves".

You have to understand this is a man without empathy. His goal and always has been his only goal in life is money regardless of who it effects, Do not think for one minute anything he is doing is in the favour of our club.

Does make you wonder if he’s made everyone involved sign NDAs so they won’t discuss his antics. Otherwise it’ll be quite eye opening for us who’ve not crossed his path when this is all said and done.
