I certainly agree with a ban - the IAAF banned Ohuruogu her for a year. I'd be inclined to lean towards a longer ban though. Four years for missing your tests, eight for failing them?

No. At least give them a chance to resurrect their career. 8 years is too long I think, 2 and 4.

But if you are taking something to cheat, in the hope that you get away with it, I dont think you should have an easy chance to resurrect the career.

For missing tests though, what is the penalty guidelines....is it a mandatory one year or can it vary on circumstances. Think there has to be an element of discretion. Interestingly, no one seems to think Rio was on drugs, yet people do seem to insinuate Ologhuru was a drugs cheat who perhaps wilfully missed the test to avoid a ban.

and very unfortnate effort by Shanaze Reade in the BMX. She was apparently assured of Silver but made a last corner effort to get the Gold and fell off the bike.

I feel the same about the air gun events.
