Of course he can do wrong. I've no particular allegiance to the guy. But he's gone on trial at another club with the permission of our club. I'm not sure what part of that makes him public enemy #1.

I direct the honourable gentleman to the post made my Mr. Blueblood which hits the nail squarely on the head.

I don't buy that Beef ... he was a week late for training with varying reports of him being nowhere to be seen or at a wedding maybe

The ****Ham trial emerged much MUCH later and AFTER he'd said on faceache he aint coming back anyway

Clubs blessing my arse

I'd question some of the timings there, but regardless if he doesn't move to West Ham, or anyone else for that matter, then he's going to have to come back here. And if that happens it seems to me to be much better for everyone if he's included in the first team squad and played if the manager thinks he's worthy of being in the side rather than dumped into the stiffs in some act of cutting our noses off to spite our faces.

It seems to me that the Club are more than happy to move him on and have been since the end of the season (as evidenced by the replacement defenders, wingers and strikers we've signed) and must be over the moon that they've been able to pass any blame onto the player.

Perhaps they bought those players because they knew the stroppy git would'nt do the decent thing and honour his contract?

He did honour his contract. He had a two year contract which the club decided to extend (as they were perfectly entitled to do). But none of us know (I presume) what has been said behind the scenes.

If something comes out which says that Bilel Mohsni refused to honour his contract and has refused to report for training then I may revisit my opinion. If the West Ham move collapses and he refuses to come back here then I may revisit my opinion. But nothing in the public domain suggests that that has happened.

If it was as open and shut as you're suggesting then I'd have thought that the wee birdie would have been all over this one.

Not if he'd been ordered to button it by those above to preserve as much of the fee as possible*

* not a problem with this, it is a major problem with the technological society we live in .. everything is public knowledge in nanoseconds of it occuring

Don't get me wrong - I don't think Mohsni has been an angel in all this but I suspect that what has happened here isn't a millions miles away from what happens with players up and down the country at every club - including ours. It's just that this time it involves a naive player who doesn't speak great English and isn't adept at playing the PR game.

To me this boils down to a guy in his mid-20s getting a chance to try to get a contract at a club three divisions higher up on a lot more money and wanting to do that rather than stay at a club where his team mates seem to dislike him.

I think quite simply Sturrock once again has to decide what is best for the club here. **** the moral high grounds and all of that, the aim is promotion and Sturrock has to decide whether Mohsni plays a part. The other players are paid to play for Southend. If they throw their toys out at Mohsni's behaviour then they I would suggest need to take a long hard look at themselves before doing so first. No 'I' in TEAM.

Can you imagine "Bilel" coming back into team where a 100% of the dressing room Knows he wants to be somwhere else? That someone who wants to play gets shafted so that we can put "Bilel" in the shop window, thanks but.... no thanks ! If we can not sell him then I do not see any alternative other than to let him train with the stiffs.

I'd say we'd probably loan him out. Gets him off the wage bill, and still in the shop window. I'm sure there are plenty of league 1/championship sides that'd take him.

Do you think there's a single player in our team who doesn't want to be somewhere else? Do you think there's a single player in our team who wouldn't do ANYTHING for the chance that Mohsni has been given?

Fredy Eastwood ""It was never really in doubt that I would come here," Eastwood told the official website today."I came back at the end of last season and really enjoyed it and I am happy to come back permanently now. Well theres one for a start. If you think that none of our players wants to be at the club then why do you support them? "Bilel" has had a trial for the spammers, a premier league side, I hope for our sake they take him on, because he has been badly advised about how to go about things professionally. The fact that he has had the permission of the club(allegedly)to do this(We are hardly in a position to say no!) just insults the fans intelligence.

Spot on. Why can't players understand that players are players, not fans. If they wouldn't take the chance Mohsni has taken, what a shocking lack of ambition that would be.

Totally correct.
Sturrock did the right thing by excercising the option on the contract with the hope of getting a decent fee for him.
Mohsni has done nothing more than take a chance of getting a contract with a premier League club ( although IMO it's a step too far for him ) - is that so strange ?
If Soutehnd didn't want him to go on trial , they could have refused.
As for the players 'don't like him' crap , please.
They are employees of SUFC and professionals , not a bunch of school kids.
We all work or have worked with people we don't get on with , just get on with it.
They should shut up and get on with playing , not picking the team

Bilel has only ever worked as a pro under PS, now he will have had a few weeks at a prem club and following their training etc & under the eye of a tough manager/operator in Big Sam. If it doesn't work out at Spammers he should come back fitter and wiser; and maybe more respectful of what PS and his team are trying to achieve. If he does come back with the right respect then he can again be a match winning asset to the club & have the knowledge that the club will not be stopping his own personal advancement.

What he said.

Freddy may be happy to come back permanently, but are you honestly saying if he was given the opportunity to go to a premiership club he wouldn't take it? Bilel probably would have been happy to stick around for another year, but since he is getting interest from a premiership club why wouldn't he jump at the chance?

Just how long do the Spammers need to make up their minds over Mossa? The longer they take the less time it gives us to fit him up elsewhere. Whatever they decide is small stuff for them now they are in the Premiersh!te. If he does sign for them and it all goes pear-shaped, with that tag on him his value goes up expotentially in any case. Uncle Ron needs to put some pressure on Brady & Co to get their finger out.

Yeah come on Tara, sort it out......:hilarious:

Look no one minds Mohsni trying to better himself, and if he went with the clubs blessing, then on the face of it he has done nothing wrong. What i have a problem with is, did he not turn up for training pre season with an ok from the club, or did he just go missing, which he has a history of doing. To tweet, its best if i never return to Southend when we still hold his reg, is also very foolish if his try at playing at a higher level doesnt come of. I still feel the club could clear this up, one way or another, saying prehaps Mohsni has our full backing, and we have the situation covered. This would be preferable, esp if he has to come back to Southend.
