The Ladies World Cup starting now!

Tough choices when you live in Aus. Me, I was born in Rayleigh, now live in Westcliff and have no Nationality problems at all. Come on you lionesses, spoil the Aussie party and bring the World Cup Home to England. Right, that's the jingoistic waffle done for the morning.

You presume Spain / Sweden won’t ruin it for us all

Whereabouts in Oz are you mate? I’m in Brisbane and was lucky enough as I said to be in the stadium (in fact I’ve been to every game at Suncorp so far apart from Ireland v Nigeria).

It’s been completely amazing, the whole World Cup. Way beyond my wildest expectations and the success of Australia means people I know are watching football who previously have never engaged with the sport. That is so brilliant to see and experience first hand.

Hi Ron,

I'm on the good side of the country in Perth. I went to a couple of the games here in Perth. They were very well attended and the standard of football was good.

One observation from watching the Australia matches is that the crowd are very enthusiastic, but aren't really very knowledgeable. They will literally scream whenever Australia run with the ball, even if it's in their own half.

As annoying as that is, it will only make the atmosphere more intimidating for England.

Based off that performance I think whoever wins out of us and Australia will be the favourite for the final. I'm not sure how many of the 12 refusing to be called up were attackers but Spain don't have much of a goal threat from what I've seen, even their goals today came from a defensive error for the first and some poor goalkeeping for the second.

Well Spain are the first through to the final, they play some pretty football but from what i sw today dont have much threat up front,The young girl that came on and scored there 1st goal was very good , but i dont see much else. My prediction on the game tomorrow , reading all the hype about the Australian team ,yes they have been good ,but seriously i think the Australian public have gone overboard and my belief is it will catch up with the team, the pressure they have been put under by the Australian public i think will play into the English girls hands , i predict an England win as for the score ,i wont predict .
