The EU Referendum

How are you voting?

  • Leave

    Votes: 58 56.3%
  • Remain

    Votes: 45 43.7%

  • Total voters
    103
  • Poll closed .
The pollsters did learn something from the Scottish referendum debacle which is why I am slightly worried. FTSE dropping quicker than (please fill in metaphor here)

I am slightly worried that self interest and money money money appear to be THE start and finish to the concerns of some voters.
Is "there is more to life than money" or "money doesn't always make you happy" (for sure it helps!) of any consequence?

And if it is just money then why not go and live inside the mainland EU, like Romania, cheap I understand?
However if you consider that the UK is your home and you want it to always be the UK, as close to that land which you grew up with then why not consider if your vote could also ensure that it is an independent, strong, confident UK that the younger generation may also have some pride in?

because massimo what the Brexiters yearn for never existed in the last century. WW1 and universal suffrage put paid to the glory days. We were on the slide from that point. As I've said the 60s were great for music but as for the economy forget it. Money is important. In fact it is just about everything. Just ask those who have not got it. I am a grandfather. I am thinking of my grandchildren. I want them to live in a prosperous UK. Brexit would damage this. In my estimation it will take 10 years to get to where we are now. What a stupid thing to do to make a point or feel we're independent. We are one of the most successful countries in the EU. It has faults, all systems do, but it has served us very well indeed. I had the same argument with Scottish Nats. The Empire to them was the English shafting the Scots. The reality was Scotland was a very willing and aggressive partner and most of the economic gains Scotland had before oil was due to Empire. People try to rewrite history and it's a mistake.
So called Independence anyway is a myth. We live in the real commercial world and have to live by a lot of rules made by others.
Vote Remain.

Oh dear. Sky News as I speak. Remain trot out their biggest mistake to date. Mr EU Gravy Train himself. Neil Kinnock :hilarious::nope:

Does anyone trust polls any more after the fiasco last May?

The only poll I'm interested in right now is the exit poll next Thursday.

Well you seemed pretty convident of them last year I remember. In fact you were falling over yourself to bung a Guardian poll up at every opportunity. Lacking a bit of faith are we?

Vote Remain.

So if the toffs hadn't got up out of the trenches and got themselves killed, AND women and plebs not been given the vote everything would be "glory"? :omg:
Brexit may damage the economy, for maybe, to quote you 10 years, but remain will do worse to society, for far longer.

In your opinion. Luckily most of the informed opinion differs. Why do you chose to ignore them is your business.

Opinion about what? Not much argument about money ( although this is your grasping central theme in life it seems).
I don't think the EU led policies in law, society, fairness and equality make positive contributions & I haven't read points that say otherwise except for cheap labour and big fat corporate profits for the rich "special" ones who care only for money.

#cost of everything value of nothing
