Magnificent victory indeed. Bet Warney is crying in that commentary box isn't he?

Still at ****ing work and have not seen a ball bowled all day.

Can't wait for Wednesday !!!

This is going to be a thrilling series i feel

Head says 2-1 Heart 2-2

LOl .. i can't believe i mucked up my original post !!!

Obviously it should've been the other way round, either way

GET IN THERE ENGLAND !!!!!!!!

As far as the series goes, heart says England head says the convicts.

I'm glad I went with heart rather than head. I just love it when we beat the convicts at anything.

Fair play to Ponting for his remarks post match he was very fair. No doubt he will be slaughtered in the convict press, this article in The Australian is advocating he remains skipper. I can see Michael Clarke taking over the one day side in the long term, as the piggy eyed one will miss the first 4 games of the forthcoming series.

Well played England, and listening to the post match stuff they really want to build on this success. And there couldn't be a tougher winter tour ahead of them.

Great result but England had a lot of poor performances throughout and Aussies topped the stats, but the series turned on big moments- Monty and Anderson last wkt at Cardiff, Freddy at Lords and the collapse of Aussies in the first innings here.
Got to build on this, go forward, there are some really promising signs- Strauss's captaincy, Trott, Broad, Anderson, Prior, Swann all been outstanding. Add to that youngsters like Bopara and Rashid and the future looks good.

Listened to Test Match Special on the way home from the pub, and I think they summed it up quite well: England were generally average, Australia were generally good, but we coincided playing very good with them playing atrociously.

That's a bit generous for Ravi, especially giving him higher than Collingwood, who ended poorly but hit 3 half centuries and helped save the first test.
