Still two days left after today, so if we can we may as well bat on and have a hit out towards the end of the day. Pity Strauss didn't make his century but he was faltering before lunch.

Bat alday if we can and for a few hours in the morning...declare at lunch then day and a half to skittle them out.Mind you if we are 500 head ..declare whenever.

Lead of 450+ should do us, a crumbling wicket and as the match goes on it'll be easier for us to get wickets when the Aussie's bat.

The convicts will have to chase down 500+, as Swann reaches 50.

I must say the selection of Trott is totally vindicated, it's a qustion of whether he makes his ton on debut.

Ponting just took one in the face without a helmet, he got straight back up though. Hard *******!

hahaha that was a classic.....and thoroughly deserved...lol

Trott was superb and thoroughly deserved his standing ovation.

The aussies looked like a team defeated but at the end of the day, we still have 10 wickets to take. Personally I hope there are 2 tail enders to get out on Monday but perhaps thats a little selfish as I hope to be there ;)

Twice in three days? Is that allowed? :stunned:

Is anyone else slightly concerned that we may just struggle to take these 10 wickets, even over 2 days?...

Yeah, though that is probably the Englishness in us! I was surprised Strauss declared actually. Given they need 460 now, they will need just over 4 sessions to get them so we have 4 sessions to bowl them out. If we had managed to get an extra 20 runs, they would also have twenty less and therefore would need about 500 and so we would have 5 sessions to bowl them out.....

Hmm. If they get to the end of today only 3/4 down and only 200 behind I'll be ******** it!

Clarke out as well now? I am sitting at work trying to follow this (my tosser of a shift partner has the Grand Prix on the radio) and cannot believe how quickly things can turn.

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!

Yep lasted 4 balls, bit unlucky really. The ball hit short leg and bounced to slip who knocked the bails off Clarke was just out.
