Never seen so many unforced errors and misplaced passes (by Tamworth). But as someone else said set to defend and score from throws. We negated their throw-in threat but just didn't create enough chances to win. There was more than 709 Southend supporters some of us old gits sneaked into the home seats. Thought Bonne played well.

Why? Nothing has changed since before this game. Oldham and Halifax also drew and Altrincham lost, so we have actually gained a point on the play offs.

That is the way I viewed it.
We didn't lose and lost no ground. A win would have been great, but on THAT pitch feel a draw was job well done.

7 League games when Jack Bridge hasn’t started: Won just 1 ( Rochdale A) Drawn 4 (Hartlepool, Aldershot, Woking, Tamworth - all A) Lost 2 (Barnet H Maidenhead A).

Those 4 away draws and the defeat were all winnable against weaker opposition.

All this unnecessary squad rotation means players don’t build understandings with each other.

Shocking team to play against, on a shocking pitch. Horrible game to watch, but a good point in the end. Our central midfield constantly slowed the game down in the first half, allowing them to reorganise.
In the second half we went much more direct, with the defenders putting their boot through it. It was from a big kick out from the keeper which Bonne latched on to, and made the assist to GSM, who sweetly managed to beat their keeper.
And for the record from right behind the goal, Hoppers cross was just too high for Bonne to get his forehead on. Any lower and the defender would have cleared.
The attack getting lots of flack, but save for a few good runs from Leon, our midfield failed to deliver yet again.
