I can answer those for you.

1) Because people find things out not from Ron but other sources as the clubs commincation is terrible. Ron actually as keen to hold this Q&A.

2) Thats part and parcel of being a chairman when the club is in trouble and he isnt able to finance it. (He had plenty of plaudits, me included, during the good times).

3) Because communication is important and even if we fill in some of the blanks it will be start.

Can we please keep this thread clear for those who actually have questions.

The point of this Q&A is to try to clarify issues at the club. We have 30-45 minutes to ask as many questions as we can about the state of the club and its finances and future. We will certainly not have time to ask all questions raised.

If we only have 30-45 minutes, then I'd probably say that questions relating to future ownership/revenue of FF aren't particularly pertinent. Although they've become increasingly sparse over the last two years in particular, the likelihood is we'll have another opportunity to press RM on those issues if/before the project is completed.

Questions need to be limited to our immediate future. What loss are we currently running at per month, what's the break-even attendance, how does RM intend for us to meet our liabilities on a month-to-month basis, what is the current involvement of Sainsbury's in the running of the club, how are negotiations going with the Pizza Man and/or contractors. Basically, information relating to how RM intends to keep the club limping along until such a time that we can move into FF.

If he starts the show off with some "good news" (and he must have a little morsel of some sort, if he's keen on the meeting) about the FF start date, you could go for the old favourite:

Assuming, and here we require a great leap of faith, the stadium gets build, how will the Football Club (as opposed to a myriad of other various, currently penniless, companies) benefit financially from it ?

Is he expecting us to be promoted this season, as in is his finincial planning including higher revenue next season?

If the answer is yes, I would suggest he amends this projection.

How long, based on our currect projected cashflows can the club survive without receiving financial investment from an external source? And if no external source is available does RM have funds in any of his businesses to cover the projected deficit and for how long?

Exactly how much have Sainsburys bailed us out with to date?
How has this money been spent?
Should we fail to pay HMRC again will they help again, as I recall at the last court appearance, the registar said should we appear before the court again we should be wound up-end of story.

There are questions that need asking though and we may or may not be somewhat wise afterwards. Who knows...



Bear in mind we have 30 minutes at most. Do we really want to start getting bogged down in the details ?

Well Mick, that was a rounded and reasonable stance but it also supports what I said. The Q and A is pointless and its time to see actions and not hear words.
