Being pedantic, it's the Jubilee celebrations this weekend....the Queens official birthday not til Monday

Technically the queen's official birthday is usually the 2nd Saturday in June although it's been moved this year to coincide with the Jubilees celebrations.

I personally don't see much action now for a week or two in regards to in comings for us. Would be nice to know if those current players we have offered contracts to have signed

Just under 3 weeks to pre-season training and nine for the season to kick off

I wouldnt be surprised to see a bit more movement next week. Every Manager in an ideal world would like the core of the squad to be in place for pre season, but with 9 loanees allowed during the course of a NL season its not all rush

Also this time of the year agents tend to be hectic and playing games but we are at least already ahead of the game

No doubt we are in continued discussions from our first, second, and possibly at some point, even our third list of targets might come into play

We have already got 16 decent players in the building but a lot of clubs choose or have to wait until July, like we used to. Not always good. Gillingham brought in 10 last year with none signed before July and got relegated, although to be fair would have finished mid table if Harris had a full season based on his results

However we can now afford to wait a bit ourselves for some and utilise the trials. We have to accept losing the odd one to a higher level or better money but now our reputation, style and strategy is miles better and I would be surprised if all the amigos wouldnt now be well pis...d if we lost out to a rival for the same money

When also was the last time we also wielded such a big chopper to get in great shape

All looking very good, and positive excellent work to date, some patience needed

No truth whatsoever.

Was looked at last summer, but not on our radar this summer.

I'm guessing not all at the same time. Also, most loanees are just sticking plasters to cover holes filled by injuries for a short period (Clark and Gubbins for us). Others can be for backup (Dennis at the start of his loan, Kargbo and the guy from Sunderland who lasted 1-2 games). Then you have the players who will be the main starters (Lopata, Neal and Brunt), but the later eventually moved on so we had to find a replacement (could argue we didn't really replace him with Bridge coming back and Neal a different type of player).

Don’t believe there is any strong link between John Still and the Daggers. There’s only 3 players that played under Still and the they have new owners and new executives running the club.
