Surprised to hear about non playing staff not being paid as I know my 2 relatives have been paid
its the same old doom bearers making assumptions because of what has happened in previous years and they cant bring themselves to see that the club is run so much better now from top to bottom and although there are probably/definitely still some little things that need changing overall I am positive about the direction of the club for the first time in years and have been since Maher came in and Tom took over running the day to day things.

It’s come from someone that is directly affected, so much better run 🙄

Tom Lawrence deserves an awful lot of credit. The accounts were an absolute mess when he first arrived and that first embargo, only 4 months or so into his time here, blindsided him. The club's financial situation is no better now than it was then - perhaps even worse. We are sailing perilously close to the wind in terms of cashflow. It's all well and good saying "we have so-and-so for the budget", but that budget, the forecasts/financial planning made from it and the club's ability to meet its financial obligations are all dependent on Ron Martin ensuring that he puts the requisite funds into the club in a timely manner. TL can only take RM at his word that he will do so, but we all know that he has previous form of not doing so and will likely continue to fall short in that respect until perhaps construction work begins at Fossett's.

Tom Lawrence is an absolute workhorse and he has been firefighting in terms of bills and finances for pretty much the entire time that he's been here. Dread to think where we would be without him to be honest. He has enough of a grip on the accounts and cashflow now, as well as experience of National League board heavy-handedness, that I'm fairly confident he knows what he needs to do to just about keep our heads above the water in terms of embargoes, etc. But he's been blindsided before, so there's every chance he could be again. Nobody (apart from the employees themselves) will be more mortified than he is if wages have gone unpaid and I'm sure that he will be doing all that he can to fix the situation, if true.

Some of you people will never learn ,no wonder this is called shrimpermoan. In Australia they have a different expression for some of you people . They call you Pomme Whingers.
