I’ll be absolutely shocked if we are under new ownership come the Oldham game.

I can suffer that if it's highly likely that shortly after we are under new owners.

I just wanted an update as I have a horrible feeling that things are cooling off and Ron is looking to seek investment rather than sell.

It's just dragging on and on

Didn't Martin say at some point (probably on one of those Zoom meetings) "Be careful what you wish for" regarding a change of ownership for the club?
Are we now seeing those words chillingly played out? A man so warped by self import that he is deliberately sabotaging the "product" (the football team) on his way out? "See, look how comparatively great things were under me!" "Now you have regional football at best and a defunct football team at worst"

The man will get his money in some form or another. His sort always do. Probably at the heartache and expense of all of us, and many other thousands and the hundreds of thousands of family memories down through the eras.

I've tried to stay positive, mainly for my Son's sake, whos only decent memory since attending from around 2010 is that day at Wembley. I at least have a well dropping down to 1984 to draw from. I rarely post anything on here but read aghast day after day as things go from dire to abject misery.
My Grandad passed just before we dropped out the league. Glad he never got to see that. Never foresaw that things could possibly have got worse than that, but here we are.

I'll be there tomorrow to scrub some of the Martin slime from the seats at our fan built Roots Hall. But I fear the old girl will soon be enveloped by it.

Martin. If you do read this and you have any empathy in your soul. Pick up an SUFC history book by Peter Miles. Look at those faces. Great Grandparents, Great, Great Grandparents, Sons, Daughters. Family bonds. Generational family bonds. The football is almost secondary in nature. Do not take this away I beg of you.

Fantastic post. I have a long family history with SUFC my self, my grandad often telling me stories of games of his youth attending games at the greyhound stadium. I doubt Martin would give a ****, but forcing him to read Peter Miles book would be eye opening.

Ron is able to ask where the offers are because no offer has been made in public.

He's not an idiot, he hasn't got dementia. He has spent a lifetime manipulating people. He is a master at it, which is just as well because he is awful at everything else.

He has until 23 August. He has interested parties, and he will use that time to muck about, play them against each other, and try and earn as much money as he can.

I believe it is not about him any more, it is about how much he can get for his sons.

Anything between now and then is posturing at best, and we'll be limping along until he goes.

I do believe however that he will go.

Actually that's what I am starting to feel, that Ron Martin maybe has some sort of early stages of dementia after watching that small clip of him today talking to the protestors today at his house.

Cannot his family ask him to get some help
I hate him …

I don’t think you are fully understanding … it’s been literally month’s since Ron put the club up for sale or financiers to get invest … companies and consortiums have knocked on his doors the agents have been also trying but ignored … we are not getting sold you do understand that don’t you ?

Ron will eventually go but only when it suits him and not before.Regretably the fan base will suffer in watching a thread bare team struggling to get results most likely handicap with a points deduction. In the meantime we await for the council to grant a certificate to allow us to start the new season.Christ when will this nightmare end

Forgive me if I’ve missed it, but not seeing much comment or concern about HMRC being paid on 23rd?
Is the hope that a take over or investment will be in place then to cover it or is the clever money on Ron selling another family asset to cover it?

We are all waiting for RM to pay HMRC by the 23rd August if not we will be deducted 10 points and still under the embargo

Great analysis, Jai.

A week to go.

No safety cert
Under an embargo
Squad of about 14
Tickets still not on sale
Playing most peoples champions elect if the game goes ahead.
No new owner as of yet
Under a month until HMRC want paying and we face being wound up and docked 10 points.
New shirt not even released

What a time to be a blues supporter.

I hope that in a few seasons we all look back at the club's darkest days and realise how lucky we are to have shaken off Ron "the disease" Martin as we welcome league opponents in the EFL

So does it not make it bizarre that no party has come out to say there is an offer? They are enabling his game if so?

Ive said it before but I truly think this is the darkest of the dark before the light starts to shine on us again. No idea how that happens but I have faith something will come good. But for it to happen, **** Martin will have to concede something.

This is business and they will have their own reasons for that. Fans have already shown that anyone who comes out in public stands to risk a lot. Look at the overreaction to wallopgate. It is probably best no hands are played in public. However, I suspect if people are mucked about that situation will change.
