Hmm...for them to be meeting some of the staff/players is a little eye opening. he's up to something... Of course he has never once mentioned buyer without adding "or investors" on the end..he's been consistent in that if little else....and sudden mention of a "transitional phase"....

I have no idea how or why you “invest” in a club like ours. What are the investors getting out of it? Hopeful they not been promised a % of the stadium deal as their return as that’s not happening. Weird….

Just for discussion, let's say he does get a new investor willing to put money into the club which enables all debtors to be paid, a decent budget for the management team, enables RH to be spruced up a bit and leaves sufficient to keep us going in the future. Are we really saying that we MUST boycott the club and inflict the further financial damage this would cause.

Having read some recent posts on various threads, if you are going to be toxic, pour it out into something else, not against fellow Shrimpers ( known trolls or keyboard warriors an exception). Also let's name the true source if using terms of disgrace or embarrassment in our comment's. It is not Southend United that deserve to be so described. Southend United is us, players, staff and management, we are not the disgrace the disgrace is Ron Martin, financial owner, not the Football Club itself. Sorry if you feel I am splitting hairs here but for what the Club means and feels to me, the distinction is important.

Unfortunately if he gets an investor it makes FF the continued dream (for him) as they join Ron in chasing the pot of gold that “could” produce. Back to the club being an expensive inconvenience until it happens (or completely fails)

If Ron is being a class A ****, any reason why he's not being held to account? If he's reneged on his public deal then the buyers who want the deal need to come out and say so. If they don't want the deal then they have entered negotiations, and we've always known where negotiating with Ron in the dark leaves you.

All we know is that Ron has put forwards what seems a very reasonable deal. 10 days later no bidders have come forwards, so it's a bit much for us to blame Ron for the lack of a sale given what we know. Of course he may well be at fault, but any prospective buyers haven't given us anything to justify that being the case.
