That is a relief. I wonder
Yes YB- court previously unfroze account to allow specific payments e.g. payment of players as the club argued it was essential to protect the clubs assets and hence in interest of all creditors including those party to the WUP. Same argument will have been used as if football creditors aren’t paid, no license, and no license we get thrown out of league- severely reducing likelihood of paying back other creditors. In this case it is particularly interesting as the sums to pay football creditors would also have cleared HMRC!!!! Anyway judge was clearly accepting that payment of football creditors should be approved, as real possibility of sale and all creditors being paid.

It means the club have got £300k from somewhere to make payment.

Very positive news in that we have stay of execution potentially until next WUP and will start the season- not so good is the other side that Ron could not stretch out the sale a bit.

Embargo remains as all creditors party to WUP not paid (although I don’t think we need permission of the court to pay them?)
i don’t think Ron will much like losing £300k here or there. I’m sure the price of SUFC will now be £300001 with £2.2m of debt to be cleared. Abosolute abomination that we got here.

Let’s hope the most suited potential buyer comes in and buys us quickly.

Ron was probably banking on the sale being done & dusted by now meaning he wouldn’t have had to pay out of his own pocket.
But Ron being Ron his ego and stubbornness got in the way and it’s now starting to come back and bite him where it hurts - his wallet.
As others have said - no club no sale. So he’s had to cough up again, somehow.
Let’s hope this payment and his (pathetic) apology have finally opened his eyes

Just going by what Chris Phillips said, what about this months salary will they be paid? If not then we still do not satisfy the NL requirements
If the deadline is before 31 July then if we don't pay Julys wages that will probably be next year's 'condition' to start 24/25 season

Last court case thought Ron said sale would not be complete within the 42 days, but creditors would be paid

Jesus, how many times are you going to keep repeating this, approval has only just been given, for the funds to be transfer.

Lets see what happens before you start kicking us out the NL..

It’s so hard to keep up with everything going on as it is literally like an episode of eastenders or similar, but the work going on from the fans at the moment is quite unbelievable.

The Trust are organising concerts and recouping money from various sources to pay the hard working staff, many many fans are putting pressure on the 🐀 to sell with protests, there are fans running Twitter spaces, going on talk sport to highlight the cause and there are many many fans from all walks of life looking to tidy up roots hall. Fans of other clubs have admirably been fantastic as well including our biggest rivals.

In previous years, the fan base has seemed divided but it is plainly obvious the fans have come together recently and once this absolute kn*b jockey is gone, the club and the fans will be closer than ever.

Well done to all Shrimpers 👏

Ithe sale can be pushed through .Think of the time they will get on sky if we play the daggers .They would be names up in lights as the people who saved Southend united .

Did o not read that a member of staff said the we would be kicking off in the national league. And I guess someone will move heaven and earth to get the safety certificate.

Wow really surprised. Where has the cash come from? Has it been in our bank accounts all along? Has he sold something? Has he borrowed from someone? Or has an 'investor' come in?
When a Company faces a Winding Up Petition, Bank Accounts will be frozen by the Court. Possibly the money may have been there all the time. Similar action was taken to ensure the players were paid at the end of June. Only with the permission of the Court can frozen money be released.
