Personally I hope that Gary Lockett remains involved, he does so much unseen work for the club, attends virtually every away game in an official capacity whereas others can't be arsed, has done two sponsored cycle rides the length and breath of Britain for the club (imagine the training and dedication needed for that) and I believe is heavily involved in the community projects and Trust.

He was DIRECTLY involved in the recruiting of Kevin Maher and part of the Group that conducted all the interviews.

Don't tar him with the same brush as Ron Martin - he was CEO if you recall but resigned for obvious reasons.

He has lent a lot of money, and I mean a lot, to the Club but has been treated by RM in the same manner that RM treats everyone!!

Gary is a 100% true supporter and has been for over 50 years and is as pasionate about our club as ANYONE in SZ. He chooses to sit in the West Stand with other supporters rather than the Directors Box for home games

................and no, I am not Gary - lol !!

Sounds like a public pulling out to make way for someone else to drive a bid forward.

We know Ron does not like them, and they don't like Ron. The relationship appears to be irreconcilable. But they've left the door ajar.

This might be a necessary enabler for the new bid.

Really uneasy about that statement.

The first communication they have made, which is hardly a statement of intent.

Doesn't outline anything to indicate a real intention to get this done quickly, or outline plans which could have been something supporters could really rally behind to ramp up the pressure.

They're the only interested party that has been publicly identified / declared by news outlets. So this IMO is a really dissapointing read.

Good luck to all today, just hope that it`s the news that we all want to hear.

We are not asking for much, and know we cannot live beyond our means. A well run club with trust and integrity, good communication and finances in order.
Let`s get behind them and support their bid, hopefully with RM out of the equation.

Be patient, Rome wasn`t built in a day, but, the lift of just being released from the old, will be enough to get us back on the front foot and talking about football again.

Up The Blues

It`s a marathon not a sprint 👍 :LoyalSupporter::Happy::LoyalSupporter::Happy::Thank You:
