It has no assets and loses 200k a month. The only thing it has is a position in the NL. I'd say a pound is a good deal. I hope Ron thinks the same, but I doubt it.What you think it’s worth
I’m sure whoever the new owner will be has to clear the debtsIt has no assets and loses 200k a month. The only thing it has is a position in the NL. I'd say a pound is a good deal. I hope Ron thinks the same, but I doubt it.
The new owner no doubt will have to clear the club's debt to creditors. Regarding the personal debt to ron that's negotiable between ron and the new owner. Most owners who want shot of a club tend to slash the personal debt to get the club sold. The only way ron gets what he put into Southend is from the housing which he will get if he still owns Southend or not.I’m sure whoever the new owner will be has to clear the debts
We need that new owner so Kev and staff can get new players in the summer so we can finally achieve promotion and get back to the football leagueThe new owner no doubt will have to clear the club's debt to creditors. A lot less than the amount of debt we have, from a business point of view it would be madness to buy us, fortunately there are people out there that just want to own a club even if it costs them money. Most of the negotiation will probably be about how much of the debt to Ron's other companies he's willing to wipe. What you think it’s worth
Kev had a good budget last summer. The fact that we have punched well below that budget means his job will be far from safe if the sale goes through as quick as Ron and the fans both hope for.We need that new owner so Kev and staff can get new players in the summer so we can finally achieve promotion and get back to the football league
This is absolutely ridiculous. We was right in the playoff fight and then the players stopped getting paid. The dip may have not happened instantly but it DEFINITELY hurt the players and coaching staff. Maher and Co have done an absolutely incredible job in the circumstances. To be 5 points of playoffs with all this off field crap is unbelievable. The only way we lose anyone from that management team is if they walk. We will not be getting ridKev had a good budget last summer. If new owners do arrive in the next 3 months there may be more turn over of players and staff than expected.
Why get rid of Kevin and Co when they could walk into any 1st or 2nd division club .It wouldn't surprise me if the new owners decide to sack maher...... new owners tend to want there own management team. Would be bit harsh but understandable at the same time. Football world today is ruthless business.

We lost 7 in a row after they were paid.
There has been endless posts of lame excuses about off field issues but in reality anyone who has had a proper job knows it’s absolute nonsense.
Most on here played Sunday football to escape life’s weekly struggles and never once blamed them for missing an open goal or failing to test a keeper in 90 minutes.
We cut Kev slack because he was a great player for us and is in his first job as a manager. New owners will want results….. That’s a fact.
There will always be a queue of managers ready to have a go, and break into management. What manager would take over us to me Kev deserves another crack
IT would have been nice for him to cut the dross and replace it but a certsin person has prevented him from doing that.Kev had a good budget last summer. Don't think this will be the case if Stan and Tom are still involved. It was always a longer term plan.Kev had a good budget last summer. The fact that we have punched well below that budget means his job will be far from safe if the sale goes through as quick as Ron and the fans both hope for.

Maybe but what followed with players paid late, staff not paid, no signings when needed due to embargo are all mitigating factors. Hopefully Stan will bring a great job of selling what they are doing strategy wise/ long term planning. All of that should give Kev a season without drama and the chance to take the next step. And not sure ditching the management team would be a great start for a new only- the precise opposite- and if the new manager struggles a worse look still..Kev had a good budget last summer. The fact that we have punched well below that budget means his job will be far from safe if the sale goes through as quick as Ron and the fans both hope for.

The problem this season is clear, look at our goals scored and xG.In Kev's defence, losing Dalby on the eve of the season was a killer blow. He would have played 40 odd games and would have allowed us to play higher up the pitch due to excellent hold up play.
The signing of Fonguck, having missed out on Omar Mussa, was Kev's biggest mistake. No doubt Currie would have had a big say in that signing, but he is way below the standard that's required to get you in the promotion mix.
Interestingly neither Mussa or another of Kev's top targets Josh Kelly have pulled up any trees this year at Daggers and Solihull respectively.
