Does anyone know if this deal that’s being close to completed is with the stadium or without, with it to be looked at later on?

Lets hope stadium. Can't believe Kimura will leave the stadium at the mercy of future negotiations with Ron having "enjoyed" round one....

My experience of these things is that they often go on until the early morning when everybody gets fed up, and tells the lawyers to shut up, and stop trying to justify there extortionate fees. And then the deal is done!

Mine too. More than once agreement seemed to accelerate once dinner time was approaching and it was made clear the room was locked until complete..

Roots Hall cannot be demolished until there is a another stadium built for a football club which holds more than 13k or something along those lines. That's my understanding. Of course if the club were to go under and no phoenix club was formed within a few years then that may change. Although surely very unlikely

Sport England have to be consulted when a planning application is made that includes land used for certain sports of which football is one.

It is common practice for planning to be granted but only if a replacement pitch is guaranteed. As for the stadium the requirement almost certainly would be offering up similar or better facilities

The twist is if the pitch hasn’t been used for 5 years I believe the requirement to replace isn’t made.

None of us know how this will all play out but without the need to replace a stadium then save covenants which can usually be overcome is there something else in play here ?

Good news for Ron bad news for us....Ron will take this in a flash. Delay decision, cans, roads...although there will be no emergency funds. That will be just hot air with no delivery but maybe the judge will buy it...

I don't think any judge has that sort of money.

I suspect he will say that he has agreed a deal that will cost him and his family many millions. But he just couldn't see the club go to the wall and so has ultimately put the club and its supporters first. As a result a condition of the sale is that there will be a large statue of himself in the plaza outside the stadium with a plate carrying the inscription" "Our Saviour"

Yup. I think that’ll be the official line. Let’s let him have that if it gets it over the line though

They can't, I don't believe. The administrators wouldn't do that (although I think they did with Ken Bates at Leeds but got in to a lot of trouble for it) as they would have to invite offers and take the best one. That will take time, time we don't have.

There is something called pre packed administration whic which is legal

Don’t think there’s been any indication as to what this relates to or when it would need to be settled.

Presumably it’s nothing to do with the winding up petition, as you’d assume Kimura would know about that. So it won’t need to be settled Wednesday.

If the £1.5m isn’t related to ‘football creditors’ then it won’t necessarily need to be settled by the NL deadline either.

I really assumed along with others that things were totally under control some weeks ago , I was clearly wrong and not though want of trying to be ‘the man’ the people I talk to who are not currently based with the club felt that way too … I will say that this has made me really angry almost bullied by a middle class charlatan. I’ve battled on the terraces home and away and abroad for Southend and the country . Today I have a feeling of overwhelming sadness and complete despair. (Regardless of what’s happened in Wimbledon)

I am traumatised as to what one person can do to something so dear, that’s only his by name nothing else, my hatred to him and his fat ponce son actually worrries me . If we do survive ( as the club we know ) then I hope you all hear this … **** the bickering the continuous back and fourths the ‘I’m better than you I know more than you ‘ **** thag goes on, on here … nothing is more important than the club we all love …. Never ever should any of us have to see our club go through this again . Ever .. our children grandchildren should never ever have to see it and be part of it .. the only thing that makes us bigger or smaller than other clubs is games won.. other clubs have won more games than us at critical times .. to us Southend are bigger than England bigger than Man U / arsenal etc … we have nothing but each other … an army a blue army and we should never ever let Ron Martin and his ponce squintie son forget what they have done and are doing and are going to do to our beloved club Southend United … let’s never ever let Ron Martin forget what he really is. If we ever get a reprieve and I’m not sure I care anymore then he should never be allowed to Enter roots hall or a completed stadium ever again … his lack of empathy his narcissism and damn right distain for us the long suffering fans ( and let’s be very very honest we are an extremely passive fan base) should never been see as a weakness we must never give up or never give in, in our relentless quest to hound the man that killed our club

Given his need for a deadline, I could imagine he’d sign that deal a couple of days after signing his do not resuscitate.

That said, Kimura are clearly able business people and won’t be over exposed to more shenanigans
