In case anybody is feeling anxious or stressed about the situation. I can say in confidence the deal will happen. Can’t reveal my source out of respect for him but everyone can enjoy the next couple days and not fear the worst!
Not disagreeing with you BUT

I used to work for a large IB. (MS) My boss was at a service providers office to sign a multi million contract. It was all agreed and just needed to be signed.
Whilst literally in the meeting room going through pleasantries he got a call from our chairman to say ‘don’t sign’.
He had to apologise and walk out. We never did sign.

Nothing done until it’s done no matter what ANYONE says.

On a similar vein didn’t Ron have a funding agreement in place with a Morgan Stanley subsidiary which was going to be signed ‘next week’ and then at the weekend Lehman’s failed and the rest is history
