Please KIMURA hurry up... I cannot take another second of this rat
I think it's more the fact the conclusion is gonna take more time.. time we do not haveForgive my ignorance, but what's the issue with the estate agents?
I thought the narrative was "anyone but Ron"?
I personally see it as a good thing that there is more interest.
The next few weeks will be tough to take with players leaving, no signings etc.
I think it'll all be OK in the end.
Just bumping this from Friday as it may indeed have legs now CP has confirmed...There was mention on here or Twitter I think that a Colchester estate agent, perhaps with American backing could be one of the other interested parties.
A quick google throws up amongst other smaller ones, Jon Hunt (Previous owner of Foxtons) @Shrimpergarry mentioned him earlier and also Paul Smith (Owner of SpicerHaart). Not sure either would be interested in our club, but with both having a big interest in property, who knows. A rich version of Ron?
Yeah, sounds like we're going to have to cope with sheepy folk owners who are estate agents. Hmmm..........................................
No thank you. Anyone dealing in property will not have any long term investment in the club, only interest in stealing Ron's money making project. From Colchester too.
Apart from someone like Ron Martin's long lost twin, I cannot think of a worse potential owner.
Out if interest, what's the beef with estate agents? If they have enough money to do the deal, it would suggest they are very successful at what they do?Estate Agents ! FFS !
Classic Ron. Bet he’s gagging to sell us off to some chancer from Colchester rather than Kimura
I think it's more the fact the conclusion is gonna take more time.. time we do not have
After having a brief look at estate agents in Colchester they seem to be either branches of big chains which also have offices in Southend and elsewhere or what look like small family owned businesses. Can't see anyone who looks to be a big player. Mind you, Ron was and still is a small time operator so I suppose you can't rule anyone out. The saga drags on.

No we absolutely cannot. Players contracts done in 2 weeks. Management need to start making signings and getting ready for the start of the season on the fifth of August.Says who?
Next court appearance is 12.07.23
It's not listed as final either so at worst could tag on another couple of weeks to that.
Like it or not, he owns the club and is entitled to get the best deal he can.
Historically I think it’s fair to say Estate Agents and Property developers owning football clubs has not gone well and generally they’ve been more interested in the money to be made from the property than the well being of the football club. A generalisation I know but the number of stadiums around Essex from my youth that are now housing estates or warehousing as a result of property guys or Estate agents being involved and the clubs either folding or merging makes me very uneasy about this. Local blokes with an attachment to the club through history and extended family sounds a whole lot better proposition to me.Why does it matter where they are from or based?
Ron isn't and wasn't an estate agent. Not sure I see the correlation.

Some chancer. Interesting phrasing.
A chancer who has enough cash to buy a soccer club and potentially a stadium development. Sounds like the sort if chancer we should be speaking to.

12 of July is a disaster if we are still in the same position
I keep saying this though. In the grand scheme of things, does it matter? No we absolutely cannot. Players contracts done in 2 weeks. Management need to start making signings and getting ready for the start of the season on the fifth of August.

Whilst I fully agree all I want is a club to support next year.. my concern is again the court case on the 12th. If Ron is ****ing potential buyers around who is to say the don't all walk and we are left with him?Respectfully, it's not a disaster.
Will it undoubtedly affect this upcoming season? Yes.
Is it time to look at the bigger picture, where we have a sustainable football club and have the chance to be optimistic for years to come? Yes more so.
We as fans need to start looking at the bigger picture.
Yes, this season might be a bit ****. Yeah, bridge might not hang around forever.
But the bigger prize is having a club so support for decades to come, not missing out on Andrew Dallas or 3 largely injured players leaving.
I'm currently 41 with a nearly 16 year old daughter. Should she choose to have children, I want the opportunity to take my grandkids to watch out club.
If it means another rough season on the pitch, so be it.
Respectfully, it's not a disaster.

Intertesing takes but I am not sure I can agree, I want Ron gone as much as the next person but I'm not sure having a rough season due to the length of the sale will do any good for the club. There will be a lot of negativity towards the next ownership (undoubtably, you will not stop certain fans doing this) and I can only think it will affect the squad, potentially lose the management and hurt preperations for even next season as well.I keep saying this though. In the grand scheme of things, does it matter?
Losing some of our players, having to put up with consolidation next season and pushing back the promotion bid by a season......frustrating, no doubt.
But as long as that cretin and his family is gone, and the sale has been done properly and not hampered by the rush so that something comes back to bite us later, does it really matter as much as you're suggesting?
