What I've heard so far. Wether it's true or not, I don't know.

Club staff have been invited to meet new owners for meal drinks around the end of June.

Pitch, website and car park all getting an overhaul. Condition of sale completion and Rons paying or the new owners is as yet unclear.

North and north west being looked at and repaired. See above. I would imagine this again may be a condition of sale, if Ron plans on being landlord whilst we remain at the hall.

The academy is having an injection of several hundred thousand by the new owners to maintain, retain and attract new and exciting local talent. I understand that this is important to the new owners.

Jack bridge is in discussions with a league club and 1 or 2 national league clubs, but his preference would be to stay at roots hall.

There is a chance that the embargo will be finally lifted this week and an announcement on new ownership could happen by next weekend.

Could all be a load of nonsense but it's what I've heard.

Can’t be true , we are Southend United and as a whole it sounds too positive

Sounds very promising and unlikely if exclusivity had not been granted. Sincerely hope this is true and sounds like next week will be telling.

Everything crossed.

OK straight away I am not an ITK !
But I will share something that has been mentioned to me by two separate sources. One is through family connections to an ex player and the other is an old business contact who has regular social contact with one of the parties that would be in around the possible new ownership. It was concerning the Academy and how it is viewed as an excellent base to nurture and develop young players that have been released from clubs higher up the football pyramid in England, Scotland and Ireland. If you haven't already check out Intergral Sports Management video about their 2nd chance approach to released young players.
As I say I only mention this because the ex player is still very active in football and has a working relationship with our current management team and no it is not SVC.
There is no connection between the individuals and therefore its a strange coincidence so maybe there is mileage in it, who knows ?

Thanks Tommy. Your posts along with one or two others are the ones I take notice of, not because they are generally optimistic, but because they come across as balanced, believable, and make no promises. You obviously have decent sources so fingers crossed what you’re hearing is pretty accurate.

Yet again he has herd its been said .All i like many just want the truth .And an end to all this gossip .Many fans just want hard facts .At the end of this week we are going on holiday so i will be out of the loop for the week .On my return i would like to think the end is in sight of Rons reighn .

So hope this is true. Thanks for posting and if it doesn’t happen, I’m on your side when people start slagging you off !

Where you heard the info from

A few different sources. Like I said. It's hard to tell the truth from fiction at times but I'm just passing on what I've heard.

Could be true, partly true or rubbish.

I'd like to think it's positive.

The way I see it.

Someone is paying for the renovation of the pitch and car park.

The youth team thing I beleive to be true.

Whether it's Ron paying to gets roots hall ready for a new owner or a new owner paying, knowing a deal is being completed. Either way it's a positive
