The longer this drags on the harder it will be to make anything of next season.

Is it the end of June that the players contracts technically 'run out'? If so then it's paramount that the takeover is completed before then otherwise we'll see lots of players jumping ship.

I know of at least one player who wants to remain but has spoken to three other clubs so far in case things don't work out here on the contract front. They have families to support and bills to pay.

Oh yes, a tweet from some incognito berk on Twitter who’s previously threatened ‘gloves off’ revelations makes things tickety boo.

Yesterday I was feeling upbeat about our club. But this afternoon I’m just a gasp with players leaving or potentially leaving. Soon unless this takeover don’t go through, we will be left with hardly any first team players and stuck with the grim reaper that will send us to a complete meltdown.
He maybe tempted to continue, I really f-cling hope that is not an option.

No idea why the Club haven’t given an update, but then they didn’t even acknowledge the court case that gave us till the 12th July, so it’s not really unexpected. Certainly isn’t on, and we deserve to know what’s happening.

There are other obstacles and dates we need to climb over ahead of the 12th July. The new people want the Club asap, and RM wants shot asap, but these things are in the hands of accountants, lawyers and those types.

I wish I shared your confidence. Unfortunately I don’t trust Ron and the comms gaps you mention, plus all the ‘business as usual’ stuff going on remind me of Chemical/Comical Ali saying ‘there’s no invasion’ while tanks pass behind him on screen.

Do you really think RM wants to fork out £250k on the 12th July? Or sell land to do it? Of course he doesn’t.

The new people want in asap. They know we have missed out on targets, they know the pitch needed sorting, the academy situation needs sorting, loads of stuff needs finalising, so the sooner they are through the door the better in their minds.

It will happen.

Everyone was excited about it going ahead yesterday so they are freaking out about it not going ahead today. Tomorrow they’ll be getting excited again. The day after they’ll be freaking out again.

These things take time. Ron needs to sell (do we know what happened in his winding up orders yet?), Kimura want to buy, the NL want Ron to sell, HMRC want to be paid which is most likely to happen if Ron sells. If Kimura are good for the money (and there’s no reason to suggest they aren’t) this will get done.

Takeovers are frustrating. Everyone is tired and wants it done yesterday. Molehills become mountains and then molehills again.

Hoefully our future owners are concentrating on what matters rather than fretting on press announcements.

We’ve got probably several more weeks of this.
