Why can't he put an article up without naming any names from the consortium?

How is that any different to you telling us on the Zone they are ready to buy, but being stopped by Ron not listening?

Surely there's no NDA or anything on that?

Or do the consortium have something to hide? Do they have unreasonable demands on Ron on the terms of sale?

He already has?

They want to go public because RM stating “proof of funds are not right” but it takes time!

Didn't he allude to it with the fact that Ron's solicitors won't even present offers to him because they have not been paid?
Yep, this is what he's alluding to. RM has been taken to court by some other solicitors that he's used in the past over unpaid bills, and his original accountants wouldn't sign off on the accounts that the club recently submitted because they hadn't been paid, so I wouldn't consider it to be beyond the realms of possibility that his solicitors aren't passing offers onto him if they are waiting for monies owed.

Sorry but the idea you can’t send an offer direct to Ron…for God’s sake we know where he lives, post it through the letter box…
We have buyers who are surprised when they are ignored when not meeting the asking price (despite anyone who knows Ron not being even slightly surprised knowing his modus operandi)
Let’s hope the Australians indeed get it done…
We have the partially sighted leading the blind…

I’m totally a novice when it comes to law so forgive my naivety

If Martin can’t, or more likely won’t, clear the debt by the date set is there any way in law the judge can:

1) get the club valued at a sensible figure.
2) then put a Compulsory purchase in place for that amount if it can be determined Laurence et al have the funds to pay the monies & run the club.

Effectively & hopefully prying the club from Martins grasping claws into the hands of those who have our best future interest at heart.

Martin can’t keep kicking the can up the road like this & dragging the club & fans through purgatory. It needs to fncking well stop now!
The judge can’t do any of this.

And if I was working at the solicitors I'd either think, Ron's not paid us lets just stop being his solicitors officially and take him to court for current unpaid works (if there are any outstanding) or pass him the offers of a sale knowing that if and when he sells the club we know he has £xx amount and we will get paid from that.

What's Ron's solicitors going to do with the quote? Take it, re-write it into a 50 page document call it a "Brief" and charge him an extortionate amount to basically hand over the offer that the buyers solicitors have put together.

As @kentblues suggested just pop it through his letter box (Not in a brown envelope as he might think it's a bill or court summons)

Yep. An article saying "insiders" or sources close to the club or any other yes prime minister type epithet.

Laying out that an offer is on the table that is wholly reasonable and the potential buyers are keen and have great plans but the chairman is blocking and in the process further murdering the club.

Surely any journalist could have a field day with this and hopefully it would get traction.

Breaking news !! it has been alledged on by sources etc etc etc , surely Chris could start an article this way or for that matter any newspaper, get it ut in mainstream media

The options right now:

Ron: Won't talk to the public/journalists.

Potential buyers: Won't talk to the public/journalists.

The only thing we do know is one is a definite ****. We don't even know who the other one(s) is/are...

A lot of posts on here tonight seem to come from an understable place of frustration and emotion. A few cutting jibes which aren't really necessary but if you feel that way inclined I suppose it's your perogative. We all love a simple black and white scenario, a yes or no answer, a nice uncomplicated easy ABC solution to a problem, well the current ownership or any potential new ownership has never found a place to sit within such descriptive terms. Of course by nature we like to think we know best, or our way of going about things is better, even if we really are out of our knowledge parameters and God forbid anything should be on a need to know basis, well that just unacceptable and a total infringement of human rights. To many on here try to apply logic to the unlogical world in which RM dwells, it's still as it always has been in his hands, but the clock ticks and we wait and if certain parties be they bidders or members of the press have cause to keep their council and choose not to make crowd pleasing moves or statements they will have a reason and as much as it will anger some it's their right to make that decision.
