All those mentioned COULD cope with Championship football I agree.....I still find it unbelievable though that Bridges is NOT on that list - he'd be my number 1 target if the fee and switch was realistic.

Indeed. Other than Michael Owen, Bridges was just about the most highly-rated young English striker of his generation. He's now come through his injury problems and should be entering his peak. I find it staggering that anyone could think we could do better.

There alway Trailist that come over to Southend to earn an contract - let hope we get good one in, unlike last year where we all saw how cr*p the trailist agasint Chemlsford & Maldon last summer!

Was one of them Kevin Gray?! Remembered he was clean through on goal in the Chelmsford game, and instead of running towards the goal with the ball he decided to wait for it to nearly stop rolling altogether. Such a clown

As for the Maldon trialist he was just huge to the extreme. Can't remember him doing much at all.

Not at all yet.

We had no activity for weeks, then had 3 decent signings in one week.

We know they are after players and are no doubt working at getting them and Im sure we will see more signings over the next couple of weeks.

Im hoping we will see another signing in the next few days just to inject a bit more optimism.
