Streaming - DAZN

That being so you should be able to watch games on board via DAZN. I'm assuming you have registered with DAZN?
Yes, let’s hope we can watch without any issues
We managed to watch all the games while in the middle of the Atlantic earlier this year so hoping for the same this time when we go away - although we are going through 5 timelines

There absolutely are genuine non UK Zoners using DAZN, and I've never said there aren't. I deliberately kept my comments geared towards UK viewers. The National League may well have some influence on DAZN and it would be good if they did press for service improvements but I've yet to see any publicity of that anywhere. By all means approach the Trust and offer up views, as for the Zone, that is a matter for @Cricko.
FWIW I'm one of them .Boxing Day was the only time so far this season I've been disappointed with the coverage In contrast with the NL's .I won't be complaining(and I got a few refunds from the NL) Didnt time the poor coverage (unlike 1 guy on here) but I will certainly complain if it happens again-though I suspect DAZN have learnt their lesson.

It's not something we would directly get involved with. Anybody can use the Fan Engagement Forum if they wish to bring it up with the club.
I am genuinely interested as to why would you not want to get involved in an issue which affects many Zoners? I would have thought this was something you could take up on our behalf with the club, DAZN and the NL and might carry more weight than individual complaints.

I'm genuinely interested why you think the people who own/run an Internet forum should act as our liaison with the club. Are you not able to contact the fan engagement committee, or even complain to DAZN, or the club, yourself?

I, and I'm sure many other zones, also use Sainsbury's online shopping. Maybe we can ask them to help out too?

Re your first para if you had read previous postings you would know the answer, which is yes, yes and yes. However, collective action rather than individual efforts is always more effective and your Sainsbury comment is beyond puerile. You do realise that if everything was left to the ndividual you wouldn't even have a vote today?

If you want collective action, then use an official conduit, like the fan engagement forum, or the Trust. That will give you more credibility than asking people who have no official ties to the club.

I like to think my 2nd paragraph is more facetious than puerile! However, it was written to prove a point. Just because a lot of us use SZ doesn't make it an official forum any more than Sainsbury's. Perhaps I should have used Tesco, or even Ocado, instead!

Response from Club regarding issues of condensation Boxing Day:

The issues were due to condensation inside the camera, we had heat warmers on the camera to prevent this happening which didn’t seem to be working as expected. It appears to have been a one-off.

Once again, I have posted in the FEF already and it is being taken forward. Official ties or not collective action is always more effective. Apathy and a philosophy of 'nothing we can do' just gives a licence to these rip off merchants to carry on as before knowing they will get away with it. I will happily continue to be an individual thorn in DAZNs side for as long as it takes but I am sure it won't be long before they are exposed by Consumer Credit agencies for all their maladministration and inefficiency. Their financial accounts make interesting reading by the way.

I think everyone was aware of the cause of the poor vision. The questions I asked remain unanswered which is not a good look re communication from the club

Interesting.
Is there a direct email where one can complain?
DAZN's 'contact' details are wanting.

I seem to remember it happened at Maidenhead the season before last.
Maybe, last season too, but I was in the ground for that one.

Whilst not disagreeing that yesterday’s coverage was not very clever, I’m of an age when I can remember that to find out the result of a game let alone goal scorers or any report, you had to wait until the newspaper came through your letter box the next morning.

Then of course there was teletext, local radio - if you still lived in the area, the internet and now streaming live games

Who would have thought 60 years ago that you could sit in your own front room watching live action ( well with a 60 second delay) on your own tv for any professional game in the country.

Ok the coverage wasn’t great yesterday and it’s all done on the cheap and is probably a giant loss leader for DAZN as the market demand is going to be tiny. But to my mind the coverage has 90%-95% of the time been fine, buffering is probably down to the quality of your broadband. The picture and camera work at NL level will depend to a large extent on the structure at each ground. I’m guessing it won’t be great at Braintree as they won’t be able to get too high off the ground nor far enough away from the pitch. But it’ll be worth a tenner or free for those who paid yesterday just to be in touch with the action.

If people don’t use it those who do could lose it.
Yep! Remember when we were on holiday down in the Tarn during the late seventies. I tried taking my transistor up the Montagne Noire with the aime of getting a better réception in order to hear news or a result of a Cup game. It didn't work! Those days the radio faded in for a few minutes before totally disappearing for a longer period, usually being replaced by a Spanish station. The ability to watch live streaming whist I'm working in Toulouse on a Saturday afternoon still far outweighs the occasionaly, frustrating and annoying, frailties of DAZN!

Once again, I'm not advocating apathy. I'm advocating using official channels and not digging out the owners of a website for not getting involved if they don't feel the need.

As it happens, I don't steam many matches because it feels too much like a lottery to me. But if there's an issue i wouldn't expect the mods on here to argue my case.

Interesting how suggesting ways of getting round restrictions on uk residents pretending to be abroad to access DAZN seems to be of more concern and interest than the difficulties experienced by those entitled to use the service.

It would be a world of pain for us as The Zone. Could you imagine us with DAZN, SUFC members being all over the world taking on such a thing when you have already stated yourself for 1 person it's been a horror show. We have no idea or want to know peoples set up's as to how they watch games. I see you have taken this up directly and that is the way to go.

Thanks for your explanation and I do understand your position. I just felt that rather than individuals making their protests that an international outfit like DAZN might be more receptive to a collective request to sort themselves out. The next game at Braintree, of which they boast their coverage wil be 'enhanced' will be interesting to watch in more ways than one.
