Official x account just replied to me and said it’s condensation inside lens and they are trying to resolve it - but what they have tried isn’t working

Seems to be sorted now - but how does condensation get inside the lense?
Condensation forms on a camera lens when the glass of the lens is significantly colder than the surrounding air, causing water vapor in the air condense into tiny droplets on the lens surface, essentially creating "dew" on the glass; this usually happens when moving from a warm environment to a colder one with high humidity, where the temperature difference between the lens and the air is large enough for condensation to occur.

Either store the camera with some silica gel or acclimatise the camera to the outdoor conditions sooner.

...well explained.
And for your second question: and this for the condo in Miami, where do I complain to DAZN for a partial refund?
There was at least 40 minutes rendered pretty unwatchable!
Anyone else's help also welcome.

Agree they are appalling customer care wise

I tried to seek a refund or a one week extension, Basically the response was that I apparently got 1 hour and 40 minutes, which must have included extra time and the 15 minute of adverts during the half time break, so that made me illegible for any compensation , and I was told to go see their terms and conditions

I dont know how they get away with it , in terms of we paid for a service which we didnt get, I would have thought that under the Trade descriptions Act thats illegal ?

Had to give up on the effort in the end but will enjoy some comments I will share about DAZN on Trust Pilot and feel a bit better about it. Would encourage all to complain and make similar comments

DAZN are a disgrace customer wise but so many outlets are these days

I have posted on Trust Pilot too. They rate 1 star but only because there is not a no star option

I didn't use DAZN yesterday, but going by those in this thread, how can they have a misty camera lens for most of a match, and then not refund customers? Beggars belief. They can't do the normal wiggle of blaming it on the customers device, or not clearing the cache and cookies, etc. It's their camera, their cameraman, and their service.

Smal print specialists. Their terms and conditions don't specify the quality of the picture so if you accessed it like so many of us did but had to watch it through a fog, tough,, you got what you paid for!

Do the National League still have control of their product?
In other words, do they merely licence NL games to DAZN?
I know the NL have been far from responsive either in the past, but surely they would be vaguely interested in how the cowboys are running the saloon?

The small print can say what it likes - but can never over rule the law.

Your consumer rights when buying digital content

Digital content refers to things like downloaded or streamed music, films, games, e-books and smart phone apps. It also applies to digital content installed or used in household appliances and cars etc.

As with ‘physical’ goods, digital content must be:

  • of satisfactory quality
  • fit for a particular purpose
  • as described.
If not, you have the right to a repair or replacement of the digital content you've bought. If neither of those options are possible, or they do not fix the problem, you can ask for a reduction in price, up to the full amount depending on the circumstances.

If the faulty digital content damages any device, or corrupts other digital content you own, the trader will have to compensate you. This applies even if that content was provided free of charge, such as a free trial.

It would seem relatively straight forward to me that a reduction in price would be fair and reasonable.

Looking into DAZN, They have thousands of complaints. Usually the normal, buffering, black screen, misty camera lens. Rubbish picture. Live screen coming on and off. Most recent complaints are about the Fury V Usyk fight. They had a black screen from the beginning, or black screen after the 2nd round. You can imagine how infuriating this would have been on the night. Most paying £24.99 for the privilege. They say a refund wasn't forthcoming, and now going through the nightmare of tyring to get a refund, with DAZN not being helpful at all.
