Shall we bring kettles as well then?

B & Q watering cans similar to the ones that Oldham had. Maybe our Chief Exec could pitch in and help like
their one did.........then again I don't think we have one:sad:

"Already lost our momentum"? Oh yeah - one game without a win and that was a draw.

You miss my point. The cancellation at Oldham has meant that our weekly rhythm has been disrupted. It's difficult to keep the same feeling of confidence and togetherness going with a two week break - doubly so if we lose this Saturday's match. Difficult, but by no means impossible.

. Cannot see why we shouldn't just pick up from where we left off. They are professional footballers on top of their game, surely? If anything it may give them fresh vigour after a break, they will be raring to go IMHO. COYBB

I’d imagine they would have had issues with training this week too. Obviously there are indoor facilities the club would explore and use but I reckon it would still be disruptive to training. That said I’d imagine this week a lot of clubs will be facing the same problems.

With the snow on top of the covers, it will actually help to insulate the pitch and keep it warmer than if you were to remove it. But, with more snow forecast then you have the issue of clearing it off the covers if it hasn't cleared/melted by Saturday. It would be madness to remove covers or clear away snow before Sat with more freezing temps forecast. Furthermore you have the public safety issues of snow/ice around the stadium entrances/exits, car park etc. My guess is at best, 50-50 this game goes ahead, assuming the forecast for the rest of the week is accurate.

This - snow is a good insulator and my guess is that the pitch will be less frozen than might be expected with the current air temperatures.

Game will be off. Would need an absolute miracle to make it playable now. Snow is forecast on Friday.

That was the plan in 79, in the week leading up to the Liverpool F.A. Cup game. It had snowed considerably during the week, causing our NYD game v Watford to be postponed.
They kept the snow on until the day before the game ( Fri), removed it and guess what the pitch was frozen solid!.
And back then we didn't have the wind chill we've had this week.
