My mates are on holiday and I didn’t fancy going alone so I mentioned the game to my 84 year old stepdad who has never been to a game. He’s now in the east stand with me on Saturday. It’s never too late to become a shrimper I guess. Just hope his first match isn’t us on the receiving end of a battering.

Of course would of been higher if the North Bank capacity had'nt been reduced so much.

And there was pay on the day for home fans. It's a poor decision that.

A couple of extra ticket staff and it would have been fine.

Jack Bridge vs. Shaun Hobson is a key battle tomorrow. Hobson seems to play as a right back in Oldham’s 4-4-2, and his slight lack of agility may be something that Bridge could be able to exploit.

I’m also interested to see how Harry Taylor does if selected on the right side of the back three. I’ve said for a while that I think it would suit him when we’re in possession, but I expect he’ll have to compete for a lot of duels against Oldham’s physical strikers. Will be interesting to see how he copes.

Did you have any insight when you posted this mate? Anything still looking likely? Or was this more a hope than based on verified info? Just wondering whether my tiny thread of hope is worth hanging on to lol.

Whatever the answer is please don’t all pile in criticising Dubai, we’ve all had more than enough of that this week!
Verified info mate, but things do change and I’ve not had any update. Lomas’ change of heart (and I believe it is that…) might change things a bit.

Hobson has no issues with ability, in fact he has plenty of it. Positioning however, is an issue, particularly at right back where he gets exposed. Hopefully Bridgey can exploit this ...

Regardless of the situation. It doesn't look like any players are incoming, and those out there tomorrow will need our best support to push them on.

I'd go

Colin

GSM Taylor Kensdale Ralph

Powell Fonguk Miley Bridge

Cardwell Wood

Powell right midfield??
Maher won’t change from 3 at the back

I just feel two wingers putting balls into the box for cardwell maybe work well.
I think he will go with a strong compact midfield husin miley Wes with bridge and gus getting up and down the flanks to provide for Powell and cards
