You can come and help me in the garden?
I would if my current back pain allowed , but Im also worried a bit about our massive, inherited Allotment that we have worked for years and dozens of lupins, Broad beans and Iris bulbs to plant to brighten things up a bit,
Hope you can get to yours as the sun shines !

Provided the game is on, we'll be there. Each to their own when it comes to attending, but we're members of the thick and thin brigade when it comes to Southend. And against the popular mood, I'm looking forward to it.
My thick and thin also includes hot and cold. Today and tomorrow I'm mostly doing cold now!

Regrettably no issues there I fear. The BBC want to tell me it 1 degree here right now but my thermometer tells me it’s 4 degrees which why all the ice and white stuff is disappearing…

Overnight it will apparently be around -2, and only between 1pm and 2pm tomorrow does it go above zero (to a scorching +1) so if it's frozen at the moment, definitely the right call to make, especially based on travel for the opposition

Wonder if we made a tactical decision not to put the heaters on to get the game played while we wait for the cavalry to arrive.
I'm not sure the heaters would work in a prolonged period of cold weather like we're experiencing - assuming it's the lamps on a trolly that was pictured a couple of weeks ago. Probably only useful for keeping a light frost off overnight

I could be wrong Joe, but I thought the lamps on the trolley were UV lights, to encourage grass growth not actually heaters? As I say I could be wrong.

Nice to see the covers, looking at the pic on the official site are new.

Could well be - they didn't look like they'd heat the ground much. So the actual question is have we got heaters, rather than if they were turned on or off.

With the loss of three players this week and no additions added, plus being better away from home, I wonder if this postponement is a blessing in disguise. I don't think the feeling and atmosphere would have been positive tomorrow and I don't think we needed that negativity. Also, Halifax are a tough nut to crack even with Pepple in the side, let alone without him.

A few days to let the dust settle and hopefully bring a fresh face in for the Boston game looks a bit more favourable.

I’m not sure if these have got a heating element to them, or whether they’re just for grass growth but either way, here they are in all their glory (post Southport)
