It would appear to be a really smart move by Crawley. Rob Elliott is an impressive young manager, has a good eye for a player, and clearly knows how to operate on a modest budget.

Nobbler is Dave Brabbing who was the first SUFC "face" that I can remember from away games in the 60's .These days he's a rather reformed character-as befits someone in their 70's-who sits in the East Blacks, IIRC:He will always be remembered by fans (of a certain age) for carving a bronze of Dereck Spence and presenting the great man with it on the pitch.He wasa great fan of Billy Best's too and I believe Sir Billy has actually visited his house.Should add that I haven't actually seen him in years but he's still active on SZ.

I can verify that, if Dave got cut he'd bleed blue, such is his devotion to SUFC. I've had the privilege of visiting his home, & if SUFC ever opened a 'hall of fame' they'd be hard pressed to compete with Dave's SUFC room.

Our recruitment this season has felt like it did when we was in League 2
Losing key players (for whatever reason) and replacing with players on a downward trajectory.
When Stan came in, he highlighted this issue and we started to recruit players on an upward trajectory and with a passion and drive to reach the highest level.
Why has this seemingly changed since the takeover?
The club feels rotten again, and I can't help but point a finger at some of the recruitment.

Can't win can they - when recruiting up and coming players fans were crying out for some experience, players that had been there and done it rather than 'part-timers' that needed 6 months to get up to speed! As usual you need a mix, which is what we have.
As for your last statement that the club feels rotten again - I really don't know where to start
