To add, Kev rightly called the players out post match. He should take responsibility as any manager should, but those players need a f*cking call out and need to get with it because they are not playing to a half decent standard.

In my humble opinion; sitting behind Kevin, I could hear him screaming at a few players in particular to drive, get forward, play forward, and not a single one of them did, once. Keenan and Gubbins.

Kevin was extremely let down by the exact same players who are NOT good enough. Buck falls with him but that was the most gutless and spineless performance i have ever seen across football at any level.

How Keenan is playing pro football is beyond me, he is beyond woeful and I am always seeing him turn backwards, cannot bare to watch him play. Gubbins looked so scared and didnt want to commit to anything. Morton and Ralph the only 2 consistently ready to get the ball moving today.

Bonne was made to be a scapegoat, yes what on earth is he doing, but doesnt deserve blame there. Team are so f*cking poor and this cannot go on any longer. Began to hate so many of my own players, toxic as f*ck again

If they’re not good enough, and I 100% agree by the way, why is it not Maher’s fault for playing them when there were better options? Or at least hauling them off before it’s too late? Did you agree with bringing Coker on for a striker rather than one of the two poor performers you mention?

Maher isn’t totally to blame today, but his decision making was incredibly safety first and misguided IMO. Why he was so scared ****less about conceding against a team so three division below is beyond me. Have some bollox man and make attack minded changes occasionally.

Unfortunately given our situation we had to sign whoever we could, I do think our tactics have hindered them being as good as they should be of course, but i still think that they need to perform at a level way beyond what we all saw today.

He should be able to trust KAF to play 90 minutes, especially if Keenan is chomping at the bit, and be able to rotate the squad, but we played what i consider a relitively strong squad and still no one performed. I do agree with you, the changes are somewhat stupid, always have been, but we couldve had 12 on the pitch i still dont think we score.

Apart from bringing on coker for a striker, I really cannot see what else he did wrong/couldve done better to be honest, im in genuine shock at how poor those players were.

We don't have a naturally verbal leader on the pitch to drive the team. Not many of them at all are that loudly verbal and even shxttingborne got in the refs ear in a way we never do any more.
Act like a victim and you get mugged! We clearly haven't learnt our lesson.
Maybe Goodliffe will become a leader. I hope someone does.

Well a manager would always bare blame for a bad result, would he not? but to say his tactics and crab football was to blame would be wrong, that isnt what lost us the game.

Well from the highs of seeing us beat Man U in 06...West Ham in 93..Newcastle in 91 to this, does it get any more embarrassing!!

The day started by sitting in the East, after the ticketing shambles for this game. How anyone sits in this stand god only knows, cramped wooden seats, no leg room, impossible to get out to the toilet and the sun burning your eyes out! Can't wait to get back in the West!

The performance just felt so tepid, lacking fire and passion from the whole squad and management team. I really don't see the cohesiveness and team spirit of the last couple of years. Summed up when after the final whistle Bonne was left to console himself and only Currie went over to him!

Can't be bothered to talk about the abject performance, woeful tactics and the real lack of attacking talent we have in this team! Oh for a Gower, Otto or Ansah!!

The inconsistency and awful football on show leaves me to think this can't go on!

Is a change required...I've been sat on the fence but starting to fall off it!!

just watched that back… why is Goodliffe the only player that reacts with passion. Couple of others put hands in heads, most just turn and walk away. Wtf?! A loan player cares more about conceding than contracted players. Get rid of them all and when your done doing that get rid of the three amigos too. We need better.

can’t believe the amount of comments still defending KM on here. Excuses like the players didn’t want it etc. not being funny but these performances have been happening more often than not this season. KM is incapable of mixing it up or taking responsibility. Yes by all means the players need to do better but that doesn’t hide the fact that KM and the others should be ensuring our players are fired up for every single game. Other excuses I’ve seen are lack of leaders (been obvious all season), need a new LWB (been obvious all season), midfield terrible (been obvious all season), bug going around the club (seems like this has been going on since before xmas) and my personal favourite from today - players are low on confidence (after back to back wins ).

The football is poor, the results are awful and it needs to change. We are never getting back to the EFL under Maher so why are we not making the necessary changes now. How long are we going to keep accepting this sort of perfomance for?

Not to rub salt into the wounds but since the 24th Feb 2024 when we beat Aldershot 4-1 we have won two games at home on a Saturday at 3pm.

2-0 vs Tamworth (league)
1-0 vs Southport (cup)

Say what you like about today but it’s not a one off. Something drastic needs to change even if we are to target next season.
