Some Club Staff Salaries Late/Embargo Chat - now resolved (for now)

Covid and other teams cup runs greatly affected our income last season. To many non Saturday games means lowered attendances and meal deals at give away prices.

One option i was of course sell a young player like in previous and more recent times. Let’s say we sold Dalby whilst Cardwell and Murphy not available….. Season over and calms for Mayer out by the end of September.

3 weeks of fruity drink in July is the best option because we want to be bundling through the RH doors next April….. With all the glory hunters who said they would never attend a NL game.

If Jim90 didn’t started the sh*t stirring in first place, plus RM haters who like to suck the soul of positivity out of us, especially Blue43.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Stan, Rhys & Tom L. reading this and think “who these idiots are?! What proof they have?!”
Hhhhhmmmmm I wonder if they do

Good to see Riggers backing an annual embargo as the way forward !!

Someone has been kind enough to come on here and tell you all he hasn’t been paid, I doubt his even a Southend fan and would have a lot of better things to be doing with his time.

Some people on this forum really are a joke.

Also screenshots have been put up if when they have been paid proof enough for you all or you gonna carry on burying those head in the sand ?

Yep, never Ron's fault. Always something else.

How many other clubs have been embargo in the last year?

This is all becoming a bit tedious. Has everybody been paid? Are some staff not been paid?

No-one, not connected with the club, has the faintest idea. Too many people are guessing.

Why don't people keep quiet unless you know the truth and can prove it. If you cannot. please do not add fuel to the fire.

Not to defend Ron in any way. But it's pretty simple what his Modus Operandi is. He always comes up with the cash in the end by liquidating elsewhere in his inter companies.

The club also specifically asked fans to buy season tickets using cash, as the connected card company don't release funds all at once, they're intermittent with it. What is he supposed to do? Say your boss at work right now said to you that he is holding your pay packet for a little while, how would you pay your mortgage? What can you possibly do?

And before anyone retorts with "Then if he can't back the club dont own one!" He does, he puts in a minimum of £750,000 yearly. You really think this is done on purpose? This isn't some weird movie villian conspiracy.

Everyone will be back to demanding statement signings tomorrow. The football world never stops spinning. Again, I am no way white knighting for Ron. It's just this simple. It's facts.

One massive thing the club need to do is try to arrange a home friendly against a big team every summer. This would bring much needed income in. Look at Walsall - villa took 4K fans there and villa let Walsall keep the proceeds. From memory the newcastle, West Ham games etc often get a decent crowd and getting a game against a team we wouldn’t usually play

It doesn't work, they just send their Youth team.

What I don’t understand is that for the last 3 / 4 seasons we have continually cut the wage bill and removed high earners. Our average crowds, I don’t think, have dwindled much during that period…so why are we not now meeting our financial obligations to tax and or staff ?

If he run the club properly from the get go we wouldn’t be in this financial situation. For years, he signed off on deals which he knew he’d struggle to afford, stretching our budget to the absolute limit. The club financially is a mess due to both his naivety and negligence. He’s become so fixated on his pipe dream that he’s completely neglected the fundamentals required to run a football club.

See this is where it gets interesting and into the nitty gritty. What, for you, constitutes a financial mess? Pretty much all debt is owed to Ron, who has routinely insisted that he will write off every last penny when Fossets is complete.

Again, his modus operandi has remained consistent. He will leverage and liquidate elsewhere, put even more money into the club. Like he always has done and like we always see through to the other side. It's **** that it takes time and its even ****ter that some innocent people will be late with there wages, especially in this economic climate. But Ron has always payed up in the end.

It's crap. But you think he is sitting there right now laughing and plotting to further **** things up? If the card processors didn't withhold money it would be paid. No different if your boss didnt pay for 2 weeks and your rent was due, out of your control. Cause, obviously, if said situation was in your control it wouldnt go unpaid. Cause that would be silly and pointless.

Because Covid and crappy scheduling from the national league last season resulting in a barren patch of Saturday 3pm fixtures which is the bread and butter. Plus, most importantly, the card processors withholding the money from season tickets.

To give an idea of the size to the problem lets think a step worse. How many clubs have gone into administration - a fate yet to include us.

Since 1990? Would you believe about 60 (sixty)

Of course going into administration is a public event- embargos other than for reason of administration aren't.

In 202110 (ten) Championship clubs found themselves under an embargo (half the division).

The 10-15 EFL/NL clubs being under embargo is not an unreasonable estimate by any means.

If there is 10 in the championship alone then I reckon my 10 to 15 estimate is probably abit low - perhaps double it to 20 to 30. Approx 1 in 4 clubs?
