Some Club Staff Salaries Late/Embargo Chat - now resolved (for now)

I think it's easy to understand. Most staff have been paid. A few staff have not been paid. The club lives day to day, and is always in financial difficulty. As the season ticket money rolls in, I'm sure all staff will be paid. We've been here before.
This is very likely the true. And as you say not so difficult. However, its taken a while (472 posts), if we can indeed agree this is the landing point, getting from on one side all staff other than first team management and players not paid, and on the other all staff paid, to here if it is the case. And of course none the wiser about precisely which job roles are paid and which are not. Probably never will be. But it doesn’t matter if this increasingly acrimonious thread can return to its rightful place.

It isnt that easy though is it, why would some office staff be paid in full on time some late and some niot at all. My assumption was that a particular area hadn’t been paid hence why i wanted a full picture I thought what i was asking was obvious but clearly it wasn’t. Next time i wont volunteer the info about my family members and let everyone wander along with out commenting
Your question was entirely valid (been asked by many others) and I think Seventies North Bank’s post is not inconsistent with the point you make. And your contribution should be very much welcomed and helps lift a little of the fog. It’s a long time since a thread has created so much disagreement yet no light.

Can't blame him piping up. He was treated disgracefully. He went beyond the call of duty, and was shat on from a very high height. He loved this club as well, and that went down the pan as well.
If he wanted to, and was vindictive, he could tell a few stories!
The club have never been able to replace him, and the lack of a Physio on Saturday was probably due to p***ing of the stand in staff from the end of the last season.

1. Non-playing staff are unpaid.
2. Some non-playing staff are unpaid.
3. All staff are paid.
4. We are under an Fruity Softdrink for sure.
5. We may be under an Fruity Softdrink.
6. There is no Fruity Softdrink.

It appears there are rather a lot of permutations of the truth/conjecture/bull****. Don't worry, all of the possibilities will be true at some point during the clubs future so no one will be wrong forever.
I understand 2 and 5 are the current situation.

I dont get when we dont pay players wages we are put under an embargo but when we dont pay non playing staff we are not punished and just carry on signing players with signing on fees and agent fees etc to pay.

Also have we not paid our physio and that is why we are using the opposition physio?

It just doesn't seem fair that people dont get there wages when they have been working for the club and need to pay for bills and other living expenses

Whats happened to all the wonders of communication, transparency and honesty we were supposed to be experiencing

Wonder if situation would be any different if the new Independent regulator was in place and we had a supporter rep on the board, Or perhaps they would be sworn to secrecy if a fruit juice appeared as well

If we are not paying non playing staff, then we are at risk of punishment from the League.

Players are essential if we want an successful season and bring in extra 2k fans which would pay all non staff wages on time for whole of 1 year.

It’s weird if Southend Utd advertise an jobs for tickets office role etc.

Fair enough, RHS , by the way I did my very best to try and keep the Shrimpers Trust out of the firing line but now they have entered the fray I suppose we shall just have to leave it to them to sort this mess out from now on in .It is clearly your opinion that they are the best placed people to do so .
The person who is best placed to sort this out (assuming there is an issue to sort out) is RM. I doubt any pressure from the Trust or sponsors will make a jot of difference. As I've said, I suspect he's too thick skinned to worry about that.

I am sure the extra cost of re-laying, seeding, feeding, and now WATERING the RH pitch is more than a few months wages. In this weather the club's water meter must be spinning faster than a helo's blades.

This is without one of our most depressing threads. Plucked from the finance section (the equivalent of applying a can of petrol) and is now the repository for everything negative- let's throw in unsubstantiated "rumours" of a fruit drink to keep it going, or diasatisfied (for good reason) former staff, or rumours we apparently no longer has a physio etc. etc. Why not pin it under the title "Everything that's wrong with the Club" then we can just fill our boots and it can run forever...
