SMS Bailey, Clarke and Francis on the list

Well do you think that seeing 80% of our team pretty much gone as something to take lightly? Its rubbish. None of them are prolific enough to be holding our chairman to Ransom. Francis especially is a massive shock after coming out last week and then now being transfer listed. Somethings going on.

and it must be the fault of all 6 players known not to have signed new/extended contracts.

whatever is happening Is not necessarily the fault of the players and you would do well to remember that next time you start effing and blinding about how disloyal they are.

I defended the players the other day, and stand by my comments at the time.

Players do have the right to get the best they can, what they deserve. BUT if they are not satisfied with that, if we have offered the best we can right now and they demand more, then screw them.

It's early days, alot can still change. Initially i panicked that 3 of our best players might leave, but there are always other players. This club will be here next year even if they are not, and so will we.

That was fair enough and you were more in the right than me because I made comment based on little information. However I do think loyalty does need to be questioned for some of the players. You are right though, if we have offered them the best deal (which I dont see why we wouldn't of) and it isn't good enough then move on. However, if the ones that are transfer listed don't get a move then they are going to feel rather sheepish come next season.

I agree yes players are replaced but what bothers me is that we are now going to have to rebuild again. Not just a few players but the majority!

Well put. I think Ron's double-bluff is a huge mistake and I dont believe for one moment that T&B support this ludicrous decision. So what- we sell all our best players and make some money? Great for the coffers but cant really see anyone decent wanting to join an outfit that treats it players in this way.

I don't get that bit ..Treats it players this way....I think they have got far to big for there boots and agree with Southend Lady's comments mostly..Ron is spot on with not being held to ransom.. If they don't want to play for us ..get rid..

Somebody now has to buy all of these players on the list, let's see if it happens, any scouts watching from the stands will have noticed that Francis was not in the team for long spells,Clarke can be a calamity, and Bailey went missing when it mattered.

A run towards the end of the season masked the fact that it was an uninspiring team for the most part.

I wish the Flavs bashing would stop though.

We had a fair few new players this year and got in the play-offs.

Let us all sit back for 3 weeks and watch events unfold.

Have faith everybody. Stand United in support of RM and Tilly!

That's true but we also didn't really get started until Xmas. I for one was really excited about the new season, starting from where we left off with the successful season that Bailey had looking particularly encouraging. After the Donny game most of us were consoling ourselves by saying that we had a good nucleus of a squad to mount a challenge for next season. That now looks not to be the case.

I do of course have faith in Tilly, Brushy and Uncle Ron after the successes of recent seasons and I hope I'm proved wrong and that these posts come back and bite me in the ar$e and that we are right up there again at the end of next season.

Oh yeah, because he was brilliant wasn't he. Any other goalkeeper in the top half of League One (Kuipers excepted) and we would probably have gone up automatically.

Well ok maybe I flew off the handle a bit but aren't you in the least bit angry? I cant see many reasons pointing at the management here. would Ron really be so tight as to let our best players get transfer listed> I doubt it but I could be wrong. Its more than likely that we offered them improved terms and they wanted more and good on Ron for not giving it to them if thats the case.

If we still have the majority of these players next year then I will be amazed. However Im one to admit if I am wrong and if we tie up the loose ends then great I will hold my hands up and say hey Im wrong. If not then I think we are in trouble. I just think that loyalty is a word that is getting more and more lost in football thesedays and I know loayalty isn't part of the contract but it sure helps teams like us.

Has Tilson been consulted about this?
Of course he will have, don't be daft.

It makes far more sense for the chairman to come out and say this than Tilly. If the players end up staying then they have to work with him every day unlike Ron. Doesn't matter if they like Ron but they do have to get along with & respect Tilson.

I'm gradually calming down. No-one has left yet and there's alot of summer left.

One thing's for sure it's going to be interesting.

True but if all of these players go, we are going to have a very new squad next season and it would be foolish to think they are going to gel immediately. Next season could be about consolidation first and foremost if that's the case.

On the other hand, look how well the start of the season went for Orient after bombing out loads of their players.
The important thing for Tilson is to get it sorted as early as poss so that we can enjoy a settled pre-season for a change.
Get rid of the guys who couldn't quite make the grade in this league, get what we can as quick as we can then take a look at our budget and buy quickly so that we've got time before the season starts.
As for the contract-stalling "i can better my wages elsewhere" brigade, they are quickly invited to do just that.
I bet if Tilly can have it all sorted by July,he'll be extremely happy.

tilly and brush were right when they said the youth team would have a more influential role this season..wasnt quite expecting this though

Bold bold move.

Out of interest do you think that all the players know what each other are on?? For example at my (and many other) firms talking about salary is strictly banned.

**** me, regretting letting Hunty go now maybe?
**** me, not too sure what to say here, this is crazy.
These players are still under contract so they may not go, the only positive is the money raised from these players will be a ****ing lot.
