I think it says you're a bit of a ****.
Some of my best friends think that too.:winking:
I think it says you're a bit of a ****.
Really, what does it say, exactly?
Could the club not issue a free viewing on the website as a taster for Blues World or whatever it's called of Smith's saves. Seems like the consensus was he had one of those once or twice in a career moments. Might also boost his confiidence. BTW the save is quite incredible. Top draw.
Well then, since you asked, I think going out of your way to leave a retaliatory negative comment as a matter of principle just because someone has registered disapproval with one of yours demonstrates pettiness, immaturity, lack of perspective, chronic insecurity, narrow-mindedness and weakness in character. It's like receiving constructive criticism from a peer before crossing your arms, getting in a huff and then saying, "Yeah, well so are you!" Most people grow out of that at around 11, I'd guess.
Anyway, back to that amazing penalty save...
great idea- sugest it to them
Did somebody call?......for what it's worth Smith done exactly what we know he can, save shots. I am sure that he will be the same as always tomorrow, rooted to his line and frustrating the defense!

I don't think you are alone in that viewpoint. If you come down to that level you have lost
I'm happy to accept the pettiness charge. Not anything else you say.
Tom,
Perhaps you can suggest how anyone can "win" in this situation, except by turning the other cheek and ignoring persistent bullying of this sort? (Which as a non-Christian is something I'm reluctant to do).
Surely if you feel you're being persistently bullied then you should speak to the mods. Or turn your computer off.
One man's banter is clearly another person's bullying. You should know.

And here is what is wrong with this board and why it's referred to as Shrimpermoan.
now back to smiths wonderful penalty save.... :winking:
all those other saves posted i think were all shots from outside the area giving the goalkeeper a lot more time to get set and dive. A penalty is very different due to the fact that the keeper really has to pick a side to dive to and to a point hope, hence why the keeper tends to dive lower and the try to adjust to the height of the ball.
Some ''Expert posters'' on here are saying that Smith's Technique was perfect and you should save a shot going in the top right hand corner with your left hand.
That being true and the fact, as you say, these keepers in the photos had more time, which I agree they would have. Then wouldn't they of had time to use the perfect technique and save it with there left?
You see my logic ? Having time to 'Get Set' why did they save with the wrong hand, the mystery continues.
This thread debated wether the shot was in the very top corner of the goal and as said earlier in the must score zone. I just dont think it was in that zone. YES ! a very good save. But not the best ever for that reason.
The shot was not in the "very top corner", but was close to the bar.
Not every keeper is the same, everyoen has their own technique, strengths and weaknesses. Some goalkeepers have a stronger right hand than left hand, so they would favour saving the ball with their right hand to give them a better chance of making the save. Same can be said with some passes/shots. Why would a player try and use their right foot when the ball is easier to hit with their left, simply they would favour their right and think they have a better chance of scoring/making a successful pass that way.
For Smith's save, it looks like he was going towards his bottom right, but the ball went higher than expected so he had to stretch higher, and instinctively went with his left and saved it.
I don't know how this debate started, but does it really matter if he used his right or left hand? He used his left hand, stopped the ball and got it away from the danger area. For me, only two of them facts matter.
