It was a bad day when the club gave the North Bank to the away supporters ,Arthur Rowley said that a packed North Bank was worth a goal start for Southend United .With ease

2,684 on the ticket counter at the moment so add on 300 hospitality etc (that's less than a league match but was about the amount for the Southport game).hOW MANY TICKETS HAVE WE SOLD
Just over 400How many we sold for North Bank?
We are the best draw they could have hoped for. The trophy is the FA cup for them. And it will be a great day outHow the heck have sittingbourne sold so many! Literally outside all NL sides and league 2 side's that come here.
Amazing effort by themWe are the best draw they could have hoped for. The trophy is the FA cup for them. And it will be a great day out
It’s down the road and essentially a cup final. I went up to Lincoln with bowers the other year and we took hundreds up there. Friends / family of the players and staff boosts numbers massively…How the heck have sittingbourne sold so many! Literally outside all NL sides and league 2 side's that come here.
I was thinking exactly the same regarding the youngsters not knowing what the north bank was like and the noise that stand generates! I'm not a senior citizen but I do have a family and they want to sit which is annoying as I'd love to go in the North Bank and stand! As mentioned previously on this thread, I think that the North Bank is a generational thing, those fans under the age of 25 haven’t been able to sit in there and probably don’t get the emotional tie that us senior citizens hold.
My thoughts would be to leave it available, at no cost and let the Blue Voice and others make their choice .
It would of course help to have a couple of big games to fill W and X with a natural overspill into and around the North West corner

It will definitely being the biggest gate.2,684 on the ticket counter at the moment so add on 300 hospitality etc (that's less than a league match but was about the amount for the Southport game).
So about 3k sold in total 700 Sittingbourne and 2,300 Southend.
We will easily get the highest crowd of the round again.
I think the highest crowd in the competition so far this season is 3,316 that was York v Darlington (751 away fans).
They can always open another stand I suppose. It will definitely being the biggest gate.
Loads of people not purchased a ticket yet. I just hope that the north doesn't sell out and leave people unable to attend.
As has already been stated. If there is an over spill of 200 odd paying customers, are they going to open another stand. They can always open another stand I suppose.

I predicted they would get 1000 here
Fantastic effort and day out for them
Will they out noise us as well.
That’s a good idea.As has already been stated. If there is an over spill of 200 odd paying customers, are they going to open another stand.
Wish they had just opened the west as well and pushed the game for a 5k crowd.
Depends if they score first or not.
If they take the lead the amount of moaning from the home fans will be deafening.
I would have agreed with you about it being a generational thing…….that is before I went there myself for the Southport game. But now having to watch from behind the goal in a seat bears no resemblance whatsoever to standing with or close to the Pack back in the day.As mentioned previously on this thread, I think that the North Bank is a generational thing, those fans under the age of 25 haven’t been able to sit in there and probably don’t get the emotional tie that us senior citizens hold.

Oh dear, I've booked to take the grandsons there for the Sittingbourne game, in an attempt to recapture my youth. My mind says I should experience an atmosphere like there was when I watched the Chelsea League Cup game, the Villa FA Cup game etc.... Sounds like I'll be disappointed, but at least it will complete the set of stands for them. I'm just hoping we turn up as a team on the day...I would have agreed with you about it being a generational thing…….that is before I went there myself for the Southport game. Zero atmosphere and a restricted view when your seats are low down. Wouldn’t dream of doing that again until they rip the seats out.
I’m guessing, was it Appiah who scored because nobody around me had a clue what had occurred?
