Ticket News Sittingbourne FC H Isuzu FA Trophy - 1st February 2025 3pm

hOW MANY TICKETS HAVE WE SOLD
2,684 on the ticket counter at the moment so add on 300 hospitality etc (that's less than a league match but was about the amount for the Southport game).
So about 3k sold in total 700 Sittingbourne and 2,300 Southend.

We will easily get the highest crowd of the round again.

I think the highest crowd in the competition so far this season is 3,316 that was York v Darlington (751 away fans).

As mentioned previously on this thread, I think that the North Bank is a generational thing, those fans under the age of 25 haven’t been able to sit in there and probably don’t get the emotional tie that us senior citizens hold.

My thoughts would be to leave it available, at no cost and let the Blue Voice and others make their choice .

It would of course help to have a couple of big games to fill W and X with a natural overspill into and around the North West corner

He endeth the 1st lesson

I was thinking exactly the same regarding the youngsters not knowing what the north bank was like and the noise that stand generates! I'm not a senior citizen but I do have a family and they want to sit which is annoying as I'd love to go in the North Bank and stand!

It will definitely being the biggest gate.

Loads of people not purchased a ticket yet. I just hope that the north doesn't sell out and leave people unable to attend.

Depends if they score first or not.

If they take the lead the amount of moaning from the home fans will be deafening.

And so it should be.

Credit to any smaller club that defeats, takes the lead against a team in any competition from higher up the league ladder, but you have to question why the higher team didn't do the business. from the off. We should know having been the victims so often in the past.

I hardly expect Newcastle fans in '71 walked away from Hereford without moaning, to start their journey home.

I would have agreed with you about it being a generational thing…….that is before I went there myself for the Southport game. But now having to watch from behind the goal in a seat bears no resemblance whatsoever to standing with or close to the Pack back in the day.
Zero atmosphere and a restricted view when your seats are low down. Wouldn’t dream of doing that again until they rip the seats out.
I’m guessing, was it Appiah who scored because nobody around me had a clue what had occurred?

Oh dear, I've booked to take the grandsons there for the Sittingbourne game, in an attempt to recapture my youth. My mind says I should experience an atmosphere like there was when I watched the Chelsea League Cup game, the Villa FA Cup game etc.... Sounds like I'll be disappointed, but at least it will complete the set of stands for them. I'm just hoping we turn up as a team on the day...
