Might need a bigger rethink than that.Sittingbourne have nearly sold out their 2 North Bank blocks. Will be interesting to see if we can give them a few more tickets in the block set aside for segregation.
Please don’t do that because we will have hundreds of comments about other people sitting in Seasons tickets seats all over againJust open the West stand ffs.
Should generate a good atmosphere and banterThey have now sold over 600 now and been given an extra 200![]()
I see your point but the club could put itself in a position were their cramming 4000+ fans into 2 stands absolutely ridiculous, maybe they would like to sit with us in the deluxe N stand, pound to penny this is costing the club revenue not having the W available because imo many more would come. Please don’t do that because we will have hundreds of comments about other people sitting in Seasons tickets seats all over again
Yep crazy cramming the Sittingbourne and us all in the North Bank. Well Sittingbourne are crammed in as they have sold double the amount in there compared to us.I see your point but the club could put itself in a position were their cramming 4000+ fans into 2 stands absolutely ridiculous, maybe they would like to sit with us in the deluxe N stand, pound to penny this is costing the club revenue not having the W available because imo many more would come.
But why open the west with all the running costs that comes with it for it to be only a fifth full? It would be absolutely terrible for the atmosphere and counterproductive for costings. The club would rather a packed north bank, with the possibility of both sets of fans having a bit of banter and generating a good atmosphere. If anything, the club will sell out the north bank first and have over spill into the south as that costs less to run.Yep crazy cramming the Sittingbourne and us all in the North Bank. West should definitely have been open for this game.
So what is the capacity of east and north combined as things stand. Obviously, parts of the North are still out of bounds. But why open the west with all the running costs that comes with it for it to be only a fifth full? Btw, I have a season ticket in the west, so prefer being in there, but I'm also realistic as to why that isn't viable.
I get what your saying Tommy, I really do. The comfort is atrocious, in most of the ground let's be honest. However, mine, yours or the few hundred fans that can be bothered to attend this fixture isn't justification enough to open a stand that holds over 2.5k fans and all the costs that come with it.So what is the capacity of east and north combined as things stand. This sounds like it's going to be a bit of a **** show.
Rather they just open the w block as overspill but they won't.
The east is a poor atmosphere and leg room is awful.
The north is just as bad if not worse and the view is terrible down the front or up the back.
Hate these limited stand availability games. The only reason I'm going is because it can't be viewed at home like the league games are.
when I watched the Southport highlights the two blocks in the East at the North Bank End looked mainly empty so the East stand still had plenty of empty seatsI get what your saying Tommy, I really do. Maybe if fans refrained from constantly calling this a 'tinpot cup' or saying 'we are too good for it', and actually treated it with respect and demonstrated to the owners it is worth opening the west because there was there was a demand for tickets, they may have reciprocated. As it is, there isn't a need to open more because there isn't the demand. We can't blame the club, we can only point to the fact many fans don't want to attend.
They are mostly the Comps in The Blues section which for some reason, i guess to boost the crowd in that section most have been moved to the North bank.when I watched the Southport highlights the two blocks in the East at the North Bank End looked mainly empty so the East stand still had plenty of empty seats
Yes 246 on Saturday at home when they won 8-1.I see they have sold over 700 tickets for this match now, not bad considering they have awful gates at home games![]()
I agreed Saturday was absolutely shambolic but we are not woefully out of form. Lost 2 in the last 10 games with those being against teams placed 2nd and 3rd. We also drew with the league leaders in that spell. This has got disaster written all over it.
Big day out for a minnow against a big club woefully out of form.
They score goals for fun and we don't score any.
Another game when a defeat would mean another toxic atmosphere.
