Because the small amount of Southend fans that have actually bought a ticket isn't a justified number to open the west and all the expenditure of doing so.Tickets now available in the South Lower for home fans!!!!!
Why not open the West, shift everyone from the North Bank and let Sittingbourne have the whole North Bank.
I think there would have been the demand if the West had been opened for this game, especially now that Sittingbourne have sold out their allocation and want more tickets.Because the small amount of Southend fans that have actually bought a ticket isn't a justified number to open the west and all the expenditure of doing so.
It is a lot cheaper and manageable to open the South.
I've said this numerous times and we were discussing it again last night, blame the fans that don't want to come, not the club.
Definitely I’d go if west was open . South lower rather not bother .I think there would have been the demand if the West had been opened for this game, especially now that Sittingbourne have sold out their allocation and want more tickets.
We should really have allocated them 10% of our capacity but have not done that, so there could be a problem there.
We have now opened the South Lower so that is going to be extra stewards etc which could have been spent on opening the West.
Also awful for leg room unless your Warwick DavisWhy open South lower not upper, it's terrible view ?
Should have been Upper not LowerTickets now available in the South Lower for home fans!!!!!

FA Trophy Rules state: "In all matches preceding the Finals, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up to 15% of all accommodation for which tickets are issued providing these tickets are in a fully segregated area, and subject to the following regulations..."I think there would have been the demand if the West had been opened for this game, especially now that Sittingbourne have sold out their allocation and want more tickets.

True good luck to anyone sitting in there Saturday much better in the upperWhy open South lower not upper, it's terrible view ?
their average gate is 288 this season so no surprise. My cousin is coming, he and some of his mates live in london but have a mate who supports Sittingbourne as an example. I think they also have a coach company sponsoring transport to the game i think so there will be a lot of day trippers. bit like when weve been to wembleySounds like the club underestimated how many were coming from Sittingbourne.

Yep, that's me. I can't stand the East for many reasons. The North (shared) as it is isn't much better, so I'll swerve it. If the West was open, or the North was home only, I would attend. Each to their own isn't it.It’s a chicken and egg scenario though.
Fans know that for these cup games it’s only going to be East (and occasionally South) that are open. That puts off a large number of fans straight away, and then they make other plans/resign themselves to missing the game.
Definitely agree with the fact that they have small crowds.Guess we decided to operate the usual process of just opening two stands and see how ticket sales go and amend accordingly. Unfortunately the club cant win when they decide to not open up all the whole ground.their average gate is 288 this season so no surprise.
