Question Season Ticket Cards

They make it sound like it's the ticket printers fault. But I think most of us would put money on it being the club's, and almost definitely to do with money/payment for this or that.

Probably. But it's the same shambles every season. Oh...

The most impressive thing for me is actually the number of grammatical errors they managed to squeeze into such a short article.
Bloody hell, that's horrendous! I actually found myself laughing as I read it. Maybe that's the club's tactic to disguise the incompetence involved.

what i find annoying is that to send out 3500 paper tickets will cost the club at least £1050 in postage... let alone the cost of the staff to stuff em in envelopes!

But how much would it cost, in addition to the postage, to produce 3500 proper season cards which might not be valid on 7th Aug and would have to be re-issued by AFC Southend 2010 in the worst case scenario next week.

And not forgetting the fact that for some reason the club seem to send multiple envelopes to addresses where more than one season ticket holder lives. There's two of us at the same address, yet we always get seperate envelopes. The money the club wastes on administration must be quite frightening if they do silly things like this.

Anyone had anything yet? At this moment my only proof is the till receipt does anyone know if anythings being sent out before the first game or have I got to queue like a **** next Saturday?

SEASON CARD UPDATE

Southend United wishes to update supporters regarding their new Season Card for this season.

All Season Card Holders will receive a new season card this to replace their existing one.

However, delivery of the new season card stock has been delayed and as a result they will not be available for the first game against Stockport County.

In order to ensure that you get access to the stadium for this fixture you will shortly be sent a paper ticket through the post with a letter explaining the situation.

This is not the standard of service we strive to offer and the Club apologises for any inconvenience caused.

We are working with our ticket printers and your new season card will be sent prior to the Port Vale fixture on the 21st August 2010.

The Club wishes to thank Season Card Holders for their understanding in this matter and their continued support for the new season.

Interestingly, whoever my dad spoke to this week didn't know how the £80 was going to be paid or when he would get ticket or season ticket... He is the US for a week or so and will miss first game. Tickets have not arrived yet, so I'll have to go rifling through his post if I want to give them to someone (I'm a wedding, poor poor timing!).

Hmm 4 days to go... anyone got a ticket yet?

Not yet , but asked yesterday as I had to go and pick up my Spammers tickets, and they said they would be sent out after today...

The fact that the first set of spammers tickets got lost in the post, I am not holding my breath....

Hmm 4 days to go... anyone got a ticket yet?

when i collected my ticket last night for the spammers game i enquired about the paper ticket for saturdays game and was told they where being posted out today

but knowing how things normally go come sat will turn up with old card and my receipt for the season ticket purchase if the posty fails to deliver the expected ticket

Apart from the fact they haven't arrived yet what is the £80 refund ? I've obviously missed something
