None of us know what DD there is to be done. Medway talks of a data room with books open. Kimura obviously did some, and whilst you always do your own it would be a start (for a fee I presume), and given JR was announced 6 weeks ago and was working on a deal weeks before this - I’d be surprised if a chunk isn’t done already - especially if he’s renegotiating payments.

That said. None of us know what is done and what’s left to be done.

Was saying at work today I’m just so sick of the questions ‘so what’s going on with Southend then?’ To me and me just saying ‘I don’t know, but these are the latest rumours’ for the last 6 months. It’s been draining tbh.

Can’t wait for all this speculation to end, like you say, one way or the other. Obviously massively hoping it’s the way we all want.

Come on guys - seems to me Jim meant ‘all that’s left’ of DD will be dotting Is and crossing Ts. He just didn’t say it very clearly.

I’d say if things are this far along then it’s quite possible that what remains of DD amounts to final confirmation of a few otherwise fully understood (with the detail and most evidence already sorted) matters of some kind. It might be nothing like that for all I know, but if it does look a bit like that then metaphorically crossing Ts and dotting Is seems a fair description in casual conversation.
