You’d be in a HUGE minority regardless of what people would say atm.

Obviously, as an alternative to what we have now it sounds great.

But after our 8th consecutive season in National League South….
If we pay our bills, pay local businesses and suppliers, pay wages on time, don’t have to go to court to face winding up orders…basically live within our means and just have a normal football club and can talk and worry about football then I’d be fine with that.

Of course I want us to be as successful on the pitch as possible and we’d have ups and downs within the level we find ourself at. If that’s within the National League set up or Football League so be it..we’d find our correct level eventually.

A very difficult match this one , if we can get a point from it i would be very happy. look forward to D1 post , hopefully he can position himself alittle better than he did at Aldershot, got a good view off the poles holding up the stand ,but not such a good view of the football im sorry to say .

Not paid last month so doubt they’ve been paid this month
Have they agreed a deferral or simply not been paid as agreed? If the latter then that should be another points deduction shouldn't it? If the former then it's probably a way around the penalty

Didn't the NL say a few weeks ago, that unless all staff were paid, we'd be docked another 10pts?

Here’s what they said

a. The Club HMRC debt is to be discharged in full by their next court date, 23 August 2023. It should be noted that this remains a requirement from the League even if the court hearing is further adjourned past the 23 August 2023.

b. In addition, having discharged all outstanding Football Creditors, and all HMRC debt by 23 August 2023, it will be a condition of the license to ensure all new or any Football Creditors debts or HMRC debt are cleared on time to the satisfaction of the League at any point during the 2023-2024 season.

Should the above, set out in a or b not be satisfied, the Club will be subject to an immediate and automatic 10 points deduction. This is in addition to any other action deemed appropriate by the League when considering any new debt.

Could be way more than 10 and that could be the case even if the staff have been paid.

So under clause (b) since we haven't discharged the HMRC debt then I don't think a points deduction would be in order for non-payment of wages.

Putting to one side the discussion about the validity of the penalty re HMRC non-payment we have already been subject to the 10 point penalty to be applied for non-compliance re the license. The penalty could have been applied at any time during the season.

So we are back now to the normal penalties applicable for further offences. For HMRC that means continuing embargo, and non payment of Football Creditors that means points deduction.

I think this is what it means but hopefully it’s now mute anyway.

Well I guess we have to hope and pray that Justin will have a busy and successful couple of days trying to persuade HMRC, e-on, Emerson's etc to agree repayments terms in order to get more of their money back and trust him rather than Ron. If he can do that then we should at least be able to sign up the non contract players. Unless he is working on another plan but can't see what that would be.
