Good statement and makes a few things clear. That explains some of the bits I didn't get about the deal but we need to find out more as there are still so many ifs and buts.

One thing I will say.....If what I'm told is true the man leading the alternative consortium won't go down well with us fans. Frying pan into fire comes to mind.

I'm sure others on here have heard the same name so they can let the rest of you know.

I gather the access has not been thought through and is an absolute nightmare. Kimura were very worried about this and were concerned that five years down the line they'd have to pay out for a new access road/roundabout.

I'll take the slap on the wrist from the mods for saying that, but felt I needed to get it off my chest. Feels like a sick twisted game of "I know a lot more than you but I am not telling" and it's really getting on my tits, and I am sure many others.

I know this statement has been mostly well received, in as much as it does what we have been calling for by putting the ball back in RM's court. He may claim that no bids have been received, but that stands in complete contrast to what "the Aussie chap" he referred to in his last but one court appearance is saying.

That said, I think it illustrates just how difficult it will be to get a deal over the line. Clearly FF is not a realistic proposition for SUFC for a whole host of reasons, but for JR and his consortium to be seeking the rat to give up any of the development profits in order to facilitate the redevelopment of Roots Hall actually demonstrates a worrying degree of naivety to me. RM's ego and greed just won't allow him to do that, and furthermore, it will leave both the club and the consortium as effective creditors of RM and/or his group companies for years to come. Based upon prior experience with RM over his tenure, I have zero confidence that this would be enforceable and we could end up in an even more precarious position.

I fear we are as far away as we have ever been from a potential deal, and even more worryingly, RM doesn't seem to care one iota. I truly think we are sunk and the prospect of my last in-person game being Fylde is thoroughly depressing.
