You can’t expect to go to football and not hear any “foul language” to be honest mate.
100% agree with this. But having changed season ticket seats in the summer, the guy who is my new neighbour is really doing my head in this season because every other word is an expletive, normally shouted at the top of his voice.

I'm certainly no Mary Whitehouse and am not averse to firing off a few c-bombs when they are warranted. However, it really is tiresome when it is literally all the time.

But anyway, very off topic.

Looking at this from Ron’s perspective -sorry but it needs to be done.
How far away is the offer? We all want him to sell but none of us know how ‘reasonable’ the offer is.

Ron wins - he doesn’t have to build a stadium
Ron wins - he now has more land to potentially build more houses/flats.
HOWEVER
He loses - he does get to build flats on roots hall
He loses- he now has planning permission for absolutely nothing.

In the background has/would the council agree planning permission in principle for houses/flats to go wheee the stadium would go.

With regard to fossets- is Ron taking a huge Risk in a deal of this nature without cast iron guarantees from the council on planning ( which I assume is actually impossible)

I must admit that( with a non SUFC hat on) asking Ron to find work on roots hall does sound like taking the ****. It’s the kind of thing he would ask for.

It would be interesting to know the numbers, two sides to every story. Of course Ron’s answer will be totally biased/ factually incorrect but we need to hear the details from the buyers to understand how “reasonable” their offer is
if 502 more houses can be built on FF without the extra cost of additional infrastructure to deal with a stadium on match days plus not having to suffer the cost of building a stadium (thought planning for current FF housing was passed).
This must considerably outweigh what he would lose by not developing RH into 502 flats.
surely this balance in Ron's favour can be used towards the amount he wants to sell sufc and the debts.

Time to move seat by the sound of it 😂

I have no legal background Whatsoever, but wondering if there are any legal avenues here. Any precedents towards forcibly removing
his ownership, neglect of position, unfit director, unfit human etc. Has anyone looked into this? At the very least he's spat in the general direction of the ndas that have been signed.
I've always wondered this...at what stage could he be banned from being a company director like El Tel was in the 90s ??

Some days you are positive, most days you try to find an argument with a lampost.

If i could spot anybody on here that talks around the houses without giving any definitive answers , rather than i heard, so and so said this and that, I am ITK, without actually saying anything of value, you wear the Crown in that department.

We all want good news and this is not meant as a personal slight but has to be said. Your personality of superiority gets on my Tits.

Yes its your forum and your the man. Its good you put some of us in our place.... when it suits.

I haven't gone through every comment. The issue is RM isn't selling an asset that is intrinsically linked to himself. Its almost an arms length asset that if it all goes wrong he walks into the sunset with other irons in the fire.
The death of Southend United isn't the death of his ambitions and hence he is negotiating in what he perceives to be a position of strength.

So you have heard the same name as well then
So tell us? Honestly what is the point in posting that? Do you have an ego to feed? Do you need it to be known to all the members on here that you also know who is leading the alternative consortium? Honestly, if you know something that most others dont but aren't willing to share the name or details then do us a favour and shut up.

I'll take the slap on the wrist from the mods for saying that, but felt I needed to get it off my chest. Feels like a sick twisted game of "I know a lot more than you but I am not telling" and it's really getting on my tits, and I am sure many others.

I have seen reference made in some of the posts to a pre-pack administration taking place, but my understanding is that a pre-pack is not permitted after a WUP has been issued. It is therefore too late for that action. Following the previous court hearing and now knowing a sale will not occur before 4th October, as I see it, Martin is left with only two options to avoid the company being wound up. Either settle the debts for which the WUP has been issued or put the company into administration. As others have said, the latter of those is the most likely and since he holds a floating charge against SUFC he gets to choose the administrator.

I am only making this point to avoid any confusion. If any of the above is incorrect I am happy to be put right by those with more knowledge and experience in the field of insolvency.
This clarifies the situation

When would a pre pack administration be used?

A pre pack administration is a complex insolvency procedure and tends to be fairly costly, meaning it’s generally suited to medium to larger companies.

It can be an appropriate course of action in circumstances where the company’s ability to trade faces a severe threat.

For example, it may work well if a company is threatened with a winding up petition (although it’s not allowed via an out-of-court route if a petition has already been issued), or if a major supplier or client withdraws their support.

You have missed one key point.
Today he has planning permission for flats at roots hall and fossets, and the stadium.

With this deal he has ( as I understand it) planning permission for the square root of FA
