Ron strongly implies that for FINANCIAL reasons we are putting players pout on loan in order to pay for 'better' players. This is different to earlier statements that suggested that we were going to make our squad bigger.

Ron doesn't state that Macca is not for sale- OBL will not be happy !
I wonder what figure we would accept, and how much of that cash will then become available to Tilly? This would certainly resolve the Sawuer/Macca questions os the last few weeksd (sorry OBL)

Wouldve avoided this if Ron done the interview with CP and not Geff King. Its almost like Ron wants to create a storm so he can come in with his knight in shining armour "heart on his sleeve" rabble-rousing speech. Wouldve befitted an Oscar recipient.

Also whatever the ins and outs of the Revs and Betsy deals we are still 4 or 5 players short of a good squad and most certainly do not have a "good defence".

Interesting, very interesting.

Not too much said there, but that relaxes me a little. As others have mentioned the fact that Spinner hasn't been paid is still a little worrying, albeit I don't know how these things work. The real fact that got me interested was that 200k was rejected for Macca. If we were really in desperate times I think we'd snap that up, certainly with the central mids we have until January. [Would have been a good signing for Millwall too, just their type.]

The main thing from this though is that Ron has fantastic PR skills, something I'm very glad of. Keeping the fans onside can only be a good thing, as long as the cogs in the background are well tuned I'm happy enough.

I think he might have been referring to the wages saved by shipping out Revs AND Betsy. Would make sense to me them being on around 1.5/2k a week.

Madness isnt it - Barrett could be on around £6000 if that is true.

I took that figure to mean the wages of Revell and Betsy combined - so about £2k a week each would sound more realistic.

Yea, why wouldnt someone on a message board know? Look at our board, there are at least 2-3 people on here that post regularly that often come up trumps with 'rumours' from good sources...
