Is it, Dave? I said on here yesterday that I guessed that The Echo has added a zero. Obviously there's a real grievance there and fair enough. The underlying issue remains though. In order to bring in new players we've had to trim the squad to such an extent that we'll have two empty seats on the bench tomorrow. That's the closest that Ron has ever come to admitting that we need to tighten our belts. Plus there's a typo - he describes King's comment on Revell as "generic" when I presume that he means "geriatric".

upshot of it all is kings crap at PR, and revell and betsy werent in first team plans, and were skint, like we have been for the last howver many years,

That is true - I'm taking a step back on this & reserving judgement.
I think he's had to come out & say something, mainly to avoid the AGM turning into nothing but a free-for-all tonight but also hopefully to try & get at least half the crowd back on side before tomorrow night!

And as I see it they were due to get "a percentage" of the "£4000" gate money, so £10k is a real bonus to them.
