Gone / going to Brentford ??
See Liam Dickinson is up for a season long loan, i know its not a priority but i wonder if we would be interested ?
With Alan Bennett turning us down to go to Brentford and the usual "it's tough" transfer dribble coming out of Tilson's mouth this week, I am now on the fed up/worried/frustrated side of the fence. Joy.
Lee Beevers has joined Col Ewe...
Not sure we need him really, but I suppose with Baldwin still not certain to sign a new contract and Coyne looking a strong possibility of moving on this guy can play at centre back so will be a handy addition to the squad although most of his games last season was at right back. Alan Maybury has now signed a new permanent deal, and we have also got Vincent from Cheltenham on a permanent deal now and David Fox from Blackpool. We are still in the hunt for Grant Holt at Shrewsbury, having had our 1st bid turned down although it appears the player himself is interested in coming to us. I think several players will be leaving in the next few weeks most are still under contract but are unlikely to play many games so if they can match their current deals they will be gone. Most of these lads are not bad players, certainly not cast offs, they just dont fit into Lamberts plans he obviously has different ideas to Williams and wants to bring in his own choice of players. I did wonder if Tilson would be having a look at some of them, if these players are settled in the area they are far more likely to join Southend than others from different areas of the country.
