Glauber Berti - Man City

Danny Mills - Man City

Doig has already signed for someone.

Yeovil are open to offers for Right Back/Midfielder Lee Peltier.

He has 18 months left on his deal I think, so will cost a few bob.

Quality player though and certainly an improvement on what we have.

Cracking pace and can deliver a wicked cross...

We have a habit of snagging Yeovil players and with Nathan "The Welsh Wizard" Jones as Assistant Gaffer, maybe a little "deal" could be struck?

See Liam Dickinson is up for a season long loan, i know its not a priority but i wonder if we would be interested ?

With Alan Bennett turning us down to go to Brentford and the usual "it's tough" transfer dribble coming out of Tilson's mouth this week, I am now on the fed up/worried/frustrated side of the fence. Joy.

Derby would have to pay a fair whack of his wages, which I'm not sure they'd be too interested in doing. Whilst if you ask Leeds fans their opinions on him, you wouldn't get too many positive reviews.......

I just want any signing now to get excited about. Even the news that LDN Fatso had joined on a five year deal might cheer me going into the weekend. ......

I can't find anywhere that his actually joined them though. Where has this come from?

As for Liam Dickinson, certainly has the pace and ability to be a good signing. Derby want to loan him to a League One Club as well. I imagine we will be sniffing around, just like January.

Would like to see us go for him, or Chris Dickson as the pacy forward now we are almost certain to miss out on Theo.

Lee Beevers has joined Col Ewe...

Not sure we need him really, but I suppose with Baldwin still not certain to sign a new contract and Coyne looking a strong possibility of moving on this guy can play at centre back so will be a handy addition to the squad although most of his games last season was at right back. Alan Maybury has now signed a new permanent deal, and we have also got Vincent from Cheltenham on a permanent deal now and David Fox from Blackpool. We are still in the hunt for Grant Holt at Shrewsbury, having had our 1st bid turned down although it appears the player himself is interested in coming to us. I think several players will be leaving in the next few weeks most are still under contract but are unlikely to play many games so if they can match their current deals they will be gone. Most of these lads are not bad players, certainly not cast offs, they just dont fit into Lamberts plans he obviously has different ideas to Williams and wants to bring in his own choice of players. I did wonder if Tilson would be having a look at some of them, if these players are settled in the area they are far more likely to join Southend than others from different areas of the country.

Which players, C&P?

C&P - a Middlesbrough fan at work told me today they are about to sign Mark Yeates from you. He didn't seem overly enthusiastic about this but felt at least he couldn't be any more of a waste of money than Alves!
