bit of an instagram update - he's commented on one of Cox's photos, and his last photo was liked by Lenny, MAF and McGlashan.

i think this should be an entirely commercial decision ....

Without getting down to real costs (salary, legal, and pay off - damage to SUFC brand) vs value - potential profit on sale, and performance enhancement (positive value to SUFC brand)

I would say football is a high risk business and I would want to take this risk - silly money in football and this time next year you might get 4 million from the CCC for him.

just random thoughts ...

I am sure that The Sun will have tested the report via their legal department.

In any event I'm not sure that The Sun or Shrimperzone is really that bothered about the facts ............. let's just get on and discuss what we think might or might not have happened using local "sauces" such as the barber and greengrocer to add some colour and spice here and there and reinforce our own point of view/bigotry etcetera ......... it's much more interesting that way.

how it really works is - My name is Rupert Murdoch ...................... see you in the most expensive courts in the land with the most expensive lawyers in the land and if you want to really spend several hundred thousand pounds you might get 30k and a two line apology .....

and if you want "justice" you can join the queue - 30 years for Hillsborough where according to the Sun football fans robbed the dead

That sounds tremendously cynical but I believe that is very much true. I understand the same situation applied to a commerical organisation that The Guardian were criticising. The end result was that the commerical organisation had money to burn and The Guardian faced a huge legal cost and a risk of losing ......... or drop the investigation.

Next time anyone considers using an Apple product or Google for example should consider quite how much of their personal liberty they might be risking in the future. These organisations will not allow criticism or investigations that might affect their profits.

If he's that vital and not having him around had harmed us that much then surely getting rid of him would just be harming the club further.

Drugs are illegal. I don't support his drug use. But it happens a lot across society and if you think this isn't a common event for young rich men out celebrating on a Saturday night then you've led an even more sheltered life than I have.

I want what is best for the football club. If this has caused a huge rift with the rest of the team then fine, move on. If it hasn't then I'm not interested in sacking, IMO, our best player for some moral stance over drug use. This isn't Grange Hill.

Like Pubey, I've a bigger issue with the fraud stuff.

This stuff is cheap and readily available if you know where to look.

Absolutely. Hubby sits on the taxi rank occasionally down at Tarpots, and regularly sees cars where the occupants are sat doing deals outside the KFC. This is quite a busy shopping area, and they're quite brazen. Colleague of mine also found a group of three young lads of about 15 "skinning up" in the garage area near where he lives last week. It is rife.

Ben Sherman's, bleached jeans and ox-blood Docs all round Benfleet.....Well I never.

Think this is the right place for a tweet from CP............make of it what you will. ("might give me more options????)

Phil Brown: "Something is happening in London with regards to a hearing today. We’re waiting for the outcome and could have news before Saturday which might give me more options."

Should the title of the thread 'Ranger's suspension for failed recreational drugs test' be changed as according to Brown this isn't the case?

Hope in suspension! At least, at long last, we may soon be getting an answer to this incident.

Didn't Phil get his timings wrong previously though? Come to think of it so did everyone who said they knew inside information
