If he's fit and available he has to be on the bench.

However I'd keep Amos on the bench as we need enough options to cover (please no) injuries or sendings off, or simply to facilitate changing tactics. I'd leave out Nouble.

So I assume he has either been cleared or served a suspension of just 4 weeks for whatever offence it may have been- alleged in the title thread on here to be drugs (with the defence that we only said what the Sun said first m'lud).

Leaving aside the disciplinary side of this affair, if Ranger ever reaches complete fitness we will have a pretty awesome forward line. How will PB keep them all happy I wonder? Potentially a very nice problem to have.

so, what's all this about then?

Just like that... He returns?!?!

Can we leave it? The subject has been done to death over the past month. What options are there anyway apart from his indiscretion is deemed not serious enough by the FA to warrant a very serious ban over and above the last couple of weeks, and therefore also by Southend to warrant sacking him and thus he is available again once the ban is served.... or it is more serious and the FA throw the book at him, and he's fired from Southend. There are no other options.

Personally I'm pleased. In the immortal words of Ru Paul though Nile 'Don't **** it up!!'

You actually couldn't make this sort of stuff up! He's been slightly naughty, given a small 4 week ban and now he is back! However he wouldn't have been able to train with the squad so he's gunna have to be put thru his paces for the next week or ten days before he can be involved again, I'd say! The problem is the FA won't comment and id guess the club will remain very tight-lipped too.

Now before all this he seemed very well liked by the players, I just wonder if this is going to be the case now and how it could affect the squad. Could be a very devisive issue. Let's hope not.

i trust brown to make the right decision, but I certainly dont see it as a given that he should be in the squad on saturday.
He hasn't looked fit in any match.so god knows how fit he is now however I see the logic of him coming on as a sub, and I can imagine that he will be on a high after the court case (hopefully not that sort of high)

So we now have six fit senior strikers with Mooney coming back... either Robinson or Nouble (or both) is going to turn out to be a completely pointless signing.

Probably Nouble, can't see Mooney getting in ahead of Robinson and Ranger won't for a while either. Even if Robinson is only used from the bench he offers something different with his pace so will be worth it. Can't see Nouble featuring much but as he's only on a short term contract it doesn't really matter, he was signed in case Ranger left and/or we didn't bring in a striker in January.

I can see Mooney, Nouble and Hines all struggling to trouble the matchday squad unless there are injuries or suspensions. They may all be off in the summer. They were all worthwhile signings when they were signed though, for different reasons.

Robinson is on a long term contract, Nouble 6 months. Robinson will get the nod and rightly so, looked very sharp on Saturday. Would think Nouble chances are going to be very limited with NR back
